About 12 weeks ago Grin

Actually started with grey hairs when at uni so about 20. Probably completely grey now though haven’t had opportunity to check for 25 years... I may find out if I can’t get a hair appointment!

BabyLlamaZen · 24/06/2020 21:05

I've seen a lot of grey recently Grin that's why it occurred to me! It sounds like it was gradual with you. Nothing wrong with a bit of grey!

I'm 42. I have no grey hairs. I am definitely in the minority!! My sister is 44 and she only has a few random ones too. Good genes! My bro has the most and he's only 37!

Twospaniels · 24/06/2020 21:10

I’m 53 and got my first one about 6 mths ago. My Mum held onto the colour of her hair until well into her 70’s.

My daughter however has had the odd grey hair since she was 5. Her dad’s side of the family greyed out early, like in their mid twenties.

Ristar · 24/06/2020 21:12

I finding the odd grey about 27 think, it's been gradual but I'm 35 now and have quite a few. Enough that I need to dye regularly.

Bathroom is a right mess now from my recent home dye attempts 😂

MillieMoodle · 24/06/2020 21:17

I'm 36 and have got one or two but not noticeable to anyone but me I don't think.

Evalina · 24/06/2020 21:17

I'm 53, have some grey hairs but not enough to warrant dying my hair, although am thinking maybe highlights.

DramaAlpaca · 24/06/2020 21:19

I'm 56 and have no grey yet.

sunshineandshowers21 · 24/06/2020 21:21

17! luckily it only grows in one streak at the front so it’s easy to cover without having to dye it all the time. my nan calls it my mallen streak. loads of people have told me it’s cool but i’m not so sure... 😂

goose1964 · 24/06/2020 21:22

56 and still only have a few around my temples. Nothing in the rest of my hair.

CoronaIsComing · 24/06/2020 21:32

The first week of lockdown 😡 I’m not joking, I went from nothing to loads and loads of greys in a few days. I tried to pluck them out but eventually had to dye my own hair! I’m 34.

SurreyHillsGirl · 24/06/2020 21:36

46 in two weeks and I still haven’t gone grey. I spy the odd one now and then but soon pluck them out !

CRISPSWARS · 24/06/2020 21:36

I got my first few sprouts of greys at 27, at the front under my fringe. Just used to pull them out with tweezers.

By about 37 there were too many to pull with tweezers. A semi-permanent mid brown covers them up right enough now.

I don't care about the grey color itself, it's the texture of the greys that's a problem. All wirey and course, like pubes.

CRISPSWARS · 24/06/2020 21:36

*Coarse.

Ladybyrd · 24/06/2020 21:38

42 and found 1 grey hair last year.

GaraMedouar · 24/06/2020 21:40

About 40 but just a few at the temples. Now I’m early fifties and I’m very salt and pepper at the front, but dark at the back. I’d love to be completely white/silver though - I don’t think I have enough!!!

CrystalTits · 24/06/2020 21:43

Completely grey by my late twenties, have coloured it dark brown for last twenty years (I’m now 46) but lockdown has given me the opportunity to let it grow out. Getting the remaining colour stripped when hairdresser can fit it in! Looks terrible right now but am just going to go for it 😀

Mamabem · 24/06/2020 21:44

I'm 40 and I've got about 5. Weirdly, considering I have v few on my head, I have one in each (otherwise v dark) eyebrow Confused

catfeets · 24/06/2020 21:45

I started around 30. It's pretty noticeable now I'm 36 and I've started dying it.
Neither of my parents started greying until they were in their 50s :(

Kaleidoscope93 · 24/06/2020 21:46

Had my first few around 14/15 but they stayed like that until this year, now 27 and finding more and more every day! Especially with the lack of hairdressers Grin

Goyle · 24/06/2020 21:47

12 or 13 years old. It runs in the family.

DomDoesWotHeWants · 24/06/2020 21:48

65 still hardly any grey.

Zoomintheroom · 24/06/2020 21:48

Started getting quite regular grey hairs from the age of
16. Dyed my hair until the age
40 and five years later I'm about 85% grey.

dudsville · 24/06/2020 21:51

My mother started going grey in her 20s. I'd always coloured my hair so i didn't know whether I'd followed suit. I decided to stop dyeing in time to be completely grown out and all my natural colour in time for my 40th. Once the initial pain had been gone through I've been so pleased and never looked back. I get a lot of compliments, it looks highlighted and interesting. It took ages to find the right products for my new hair but ir feels so healthy now. I love it!

wowfudge · 24/06/2020 21:51

Mid forties - completely grey, but it looks like it's got highlight and lowlights. I started going grey in my early twenties and coloured it for a long time. Grew out the colour gradually and have been grey for about two years. I love it - if I hadn't I'd have coloured it again. No more dyeing the roots every three weeks. I'm greyer than my mum.
