So the world isnt ending and that's a good thing because I now have a 101 different ways to eat potato Grin

GreenAfternoonTeaMug · 21/06/2020 19:40

Little premature there itsgettingwird It's supposed to end at 8 pm I thought. Hmm Grin

Hope not though. I will be halfway through the Imitation Game by then and i don't want to have to wiki it so I know how it ends.

Clearly the answer is to delay all housework until Tuesday (just in case) and get cracking with the roasties, cake and wine. Sounds good to me.

@Titsywoo I am now desperate to try M&S roast potato seasoning which is a bit of a problem because I'm in the US. It is going on my 'when in England' shopping list but if you get a chance to check the ingredients list at any point I will be eternally grateful (or grateful until the next apocolypse at least).

I always keep a small hand towel in my car. DH and our teens scoff but it has proved surprisingly useful many a time.

Jeremyironsnothing · 21/06/2020 20:19

Small hand towel has never featured in my emergency plans.

Might have to rethink.

@ssd

I wish it would hurry up. My heads bursting and tablets aren't touching it.
You've been at the pan galactic gargle blasters haven't you?
OrangeGinLemonFanta · 21/06/2020 20:52

It's nearly 9PM, I had the cake and a beer and now I'm 400 calories over my daily allowance and it doesn't look like the world is ending after all. Whoops.

GreenAfternoonTeaMug · 22/06/2020 17:49

Oh! It didn't end.

I went to bed and forgot all about it this morning when i woke up.

I think we (a select group!) should operate that ‘they’ may have got the date wrong by a day or so or maybe a week. Operate as though each day may be the last just for a short while ??

After all this lockdown (still going obvs) it could be fun to let rip a bit - at home.

M&S roast potato seasoning

I’ve never heard of this before!! There’s an M&S Simply Food on the ground floor of my block of flats, I’ll pop in later and check if they have any.

Do you think couscous would work? I have not been able to lay hand on semolina for love or money lately!

Titsywoo · 22/06/2020 18:51

No cous cous would be too chunky. Do you have a Polish supermarket near you? I found loads of semolina in one near my house.

CathyComesHome · 22/06/2020 22:55

Hmm, good call. I think so.

I tried grinding couscous in a coffee grinder when I needed semolina for shortbread. It sort of worked.

MrsMozartMkII · 23/06/2020 07:43

Well. It didn't end. Either that or the After Life is just the same as the Former Life.

If this is the afterlife, I’ve been short changed. All those years of catholic school and being forced to attend boring church Services - I’m expecting a paradise and no less.
