Honestly, I’d go for 2022.

wildcherries · 20/06/2020 16:52

2022

Sunshineonacloudyday20 · 20/06/2020 16:54

End of next year or 2022. When are you thinking of going?

Helgathehairy · 20/06/2020 16:59

Do you mean Disney or just Florida in general?? 2022 either way. Things are really up in the air with Disney.

MrsWombat · 20/06/2020 17:02

I would wait until the November election before deciding.

EmperorCovidula · 20/06/2020 17:03

Friends in America are saying things are quite bad there albeit not as bad as in other places. I would just wait until 2022.

Vanillaradio · 20/06/2020 17:13

Currently planning on Florida for 2022.

GenderApostate19 · 20/06/2020 17:19

If you’re doing the parks then 2022 for sure. I fear that Disney is going to go back to being a ‘once in a lifetime’ holiday and stuff like two week park tickets and free dining are gone for good.

Lardlizard · 20/06/2020 18:20

Yes Disney, was ruining a week at Universal maybe cabana bay hotel, or one of the universal ones then a week at Disney, ideally animal kingdom lodge but perhaps one of the cheaper Disney ones
Then a few days/week at Clearwater

We were going next August for my 50th. But we are going in 2022. Next year is also going to be the magic kingdoms 50th anniversary so going to be busy.

Paranoidmarvin · 20/06/2020 19:43

I really want it to be next year. But I’m not chancing it. So doing 2022.

RhianFuckingMorris · 20/06/2020 19:46

Nonodea what may happen next year 're another peak or travel restrictions/park.restrictions/changes.
I'd maybe book now for 2022 but if not I'd possibly book last minute sometime next year if when things looked good.

threestars · 20/06/2020 19:47

Florida is recording 4000 cases in one day right now. If you can choose, wait till 2022.

Chrisinthemorning · 20/06/2020 19:49

We were going in October and now planning Easter 2022.

Shinebright72 · 20/06/2020 19:51

I would wait to see what happens in the next 6 months of 2020 and play it by there.

Blogdog · 20/06/2020 19:53

We’re supposed to be there right now Sad. Kids are devastated. I would love to rebook for next year but am not going to make that call until January at the earliest.

pintin · 20/06/2020 19:54

We were suppposed to be going in two weeks. Changed package to this time next year. Staying on site. Exactly same holiday.
Just had an email from them saying that for all holidays precooked up until September 2021, you just now book via an online system on MDE to book certain parks for certain days.
Disney dining is scrapped as is ( I think) fast passes. And you have to sign a Covid liability waiver.
It's a full year away. I'm hopeful that things will be more normal by then. But can't shake the feeling that our expensive once in a lifetime trip will be a damp squid with cancellations/restrictions etc..
I haven't read enough re new cases/death rates in Florida to know if opening the parks up yet is a good idea or not. I'm thinking not...

Waxonwaxoff0 · 20/06/2020 20:52

I'm planning 2022. May even be 2023 at this rate unless things go back to normal. I'm in a Disney group on Facebook and the arrangements sound hellish at the moment.

MrsPinkCock · 20/06/2020 21:48

Disney currently have altered systems in place whereby you have to reserve the park you want to visit... until September 26, 2021!

We are annual passholders at both WDW and universal and this will be the first year in a decade we haven’t gone... we were due to go in October.

We will probably do 2021 but not this year. Here’s the current Florida COVID graph...

If I was a first timer or it was a trip of a lifetime deal I’d 100% wait until 2022.

If you wanted to book a florida holiday would you book for 2021 or even wait til 2022?

2022 no question.

We were booked for this year. Nearly everyone is moving to next year (not through choice, just lack of options - there are a few refunds but mostly just free rebooking). It will be mega-busy.

Lemonmaid · 20/06/2020 22:06
  1. Also more likely to be able to get travel insurance by then.
MondeoFan · 20/06/2020 22:24

2022 but it's my 50th so it's possible we will end up elsewhere like Barbados

Lardlizard · 20/06/2020 23:42

Had a massive chat with dh and we are goingvtoveaitvtillthe end of 2020 then consodercbooinh for 2021
Will see what happens over the next 6 months and maybe book just before Xmas

Why do you have an annual pass if you live here? And what is MDE

Lardlizard · 20/06/2020 23:42

Mondeo make sure you visit the cliff restaurant if you do go to Barbados
