And posting on their SM. Cringe or funny?

I have tiktok, am middle aged. No dancing here! Grin

Some of it is cringy, some is good.

Hearhoovesthinkzebras · 20/06/2020 17:02

I downloaded tik tok at the start of this madness. It's the only thing that's kept me going to be honest - watching it not doing it.

It's just fun isn't it? What's wrong with that?

HairyFloppins · 20/06/2020 17:04

I think it's fine just a bit of fun. But what is that one about where they splash people with water? Find it upsetting when they do it to babies.

Marlena1 · 20/06/2020 17:05

@FaceOfASpink here here

BIWI · 20/06/2020 17:25

Why on earth shouldn't they, though, @Rollergirl11? What is your issue with middle aged people?

When does it stop being acceptable? 20? 30? 40?

Age is simply not relevant.

Rollergirl11 · 20/06/2020 17:53

@BIWI I don’t have an issue with middle-aged people. And I didn’t say they shouldn’t. Just think it’s cringe.

OP posts:
BIWI · 20/06/2020 17:54

But why? If it's nothing to do with their age?

Judethe0bscure · 20/06/2020 18:14

If its cringe OP - I suggest you stop doing it! :)

WorraLiberty · 20/06/2020 18:23

If they enjoy doing it then live and let live.

I'd sooner have a laugh than be a miserable bastard.

zeldapinwheel · 20/06/2020 18:23

One of the few things I've ever done that has actually impressed my 10 year old DD is the tiktoc handstand challenge. The years of yoga paid off.

I haven't posted it on social media though.

LastTrainEast · 20/06/2020 18:37

"Just think it’s cringe" if you close your eyes and think of 'old' people what do you imagine them doing. Bingo and queueing up for their pension in the post office?

Also middle-aged isn't old as you will realise when you get there. I remember it well.

It's strange. I remember when nearly everyone was older than me. Now nearly everyone is younger than me. Grin

Immigrantsong · 20/06/2020 18:39

OP all tik tok is cringe.

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 20/06/2020 18:40

I think your ageist attitude is cringe.

Bagelsandbrie · 20/06/2020 18:40

Well the whole of social media is cringe if you think about it but who cares, most fun stuff is cringe, it’s what makes it funny.

Rockbird · 20/06/2020 18:43

Cringey FFS.

And anyone can do whatever they want whatever age they are. People can go to hell with the judging. I'm done with being judged.

BIWI · 20/06/2020 20:05

Well why start such a judgey thread then?

lootsharks · 20/06/2020 20:56

@Rollergirl11

Why shouldn't they?

What do you post on your social media OP?

emmaliz · 20/06/2020 20:59

I think its completely cringe and I love it.

ComDummings · 20/06/2020 21:00

TikTok is completely cringe no matter the age of the person doing the dances tbh

feelingfragile · 20/06/2020 21:17

Not quite as cringe as judging other people for doing something that you don't get, but, you know, whatever floats your boat.

BaronessBomburst · 20/06/2020 21:20

I'd think they were losers.
They should be doing Fortnite dances.
They're totally sick. Wink

BIWI · 20/06/2020 22:58

So @MNHQ if I started a thread with the title:

Black people doing TikTok dances

Would you still leave it up, like you have now, for several hours since I reported it?

If so, shame on you.

borntohula · 20/06/2020 23:08

I'm not quite middle aged but I might do one just for 14yo DD's reaction.

Rollergirl11 · 20/06/2020 23:11

Who knew people would get quite so worked up over TikTok.
