It's a tough thing to write and admit aloud. DD is 16. She had a very early miscarriage just before Christmas last year (16).

Her and her boyfriend are still 'together' but haven't spent much time together in a while because of Covid. She's a great kid and usually tells me everything and is very honest, not secretive etc.

I think she wants to be pregnant again.

Right or wrong it was drummed into me by my parents that a teenage pregnancy would not be tolerated under their roof. If I did fall pregnant I'd be expected to move out (whether they actually would've gone through with it is a different matter but I didn't want to test the theory!).
I think maybe an honest conversation is needed plus I think the budget idea is a good one. I'd also look at benefits if that's the route she thinks she'll go down, see how much it'd be, where she's likely to end up living etc

Plus yes, definitely tell the boyfriend. That's really despicable

You need to get it into her head that
A) she’s not going to earn or be given £18000
B) If she chooses to have a baby she needs to move out and pay for it and bring it up herself.

If she wants to co-sleep she needs to rent a flat and buy a bed to co-sleep in.

If she gets pg and has no means of support she may well find herself under the supervision of a ss. If you are in England she will be obliged to be in education or training. Does she have any qualifications yet? If she is not at the moment maybe that is not helping the void feeling.
