If you did how long did it take for refunds?

It’s been a few weeks since I returned things to Sainsbury’s TU and H&M and no sign of anything yet

I’m still waiting for a refund from H&M after over 2 weeks..

Rollergirl11 · 16/06/2020 13:38

I returned something to JD Sports, it took about 3 weeks for them to acknowledge receipt of the item and for the money to appear in my bank.

wfrances · 16/06/2020 13:39

M&S returned 26th may only refunded this morning
Sweaty Betty 30 th may and I'm still waiting.

AnnaSW1 · 16/06/2020 13:40

Yes. It takes a few weeks but they've all been refunded

EatsShootsAndRuns · 16/06/2020 14:37

I returned something last Monday by post and I had the refund in my bank on Thursday.

TwistedSisters · 16/06/2020 15:38

Yes quite a bit. All has been refunded but definitely taking longer than usual. H&M took about 3 weeks.

LovingLola · 16/06/2020 15:39

H and M took 2 weeks.
Boden about 6 days

Oldraver · 16/06/2020 17:59

This has reminded me

Sent something back to Cath Kidston on 30 May, and still waiting .

Snozzlemaid · 16/06/2020 18:08

I returned something to Sainsbury's Tu and it did take longer than usual. But I'd say it was sorted within two weeks.

actiongirl1978 · 16/06/2020 18:10

Sainsburys I returned something 2 weeks ago, refund yesterday.

Poshjock · 16/06/2020 18:19

About 3 weeks from posting to refund for me. Apologies from the retailer when I queried it. Apparently hold ups with post office as well as their own processes.

itbemay1 · 16/06/2020 18:22

Oasis return 4 weeks ago and nothing, Sainsburys within a week, H&M 2 weeks, select 3 weeks. So varied! Lost the oasis proof of posting too Confused

MrsJonesAndMe · 16/06/2020 18:25

I used Hermes to collect a parcel and that went through in about 10 days.
Sending one back to H&M via Royal Mail tomorrow...maybe I'd be better off going into store Hmm

CaptainMyCaptain · 16/06/2020 18:34

I returned some shoes to Clarkes via Hermes a few weeks ago. I haven't had the refund yet but I have had an email saying they will refund me

Redcrow · 16/06/2020 18:55

I must be lucky I've returned to nike, fabletics and new look and had things sorted within 5 days

PurpleFrames · 16/06/2020 19:09

Asos took about a week and a half
Dorothy Perkins took almost 6.

I find contacting their social media team is the best way to get a quick reply/resolution.

Dk20 · 16/06/2020 19:25

I returned baby pre-walkers for an exchange to a bigger size.
Sent off the returned ones on the Thursday, received the new pair the following Wednesday

concernedforthefuture · 16/06/2020 19:32

Have they received it? There are a few factors at play here:

  1. Delivery services are slower so it takes them longer to get it back.
  2. Many retailers leave returns parcels unopened for 2-3 to avoid risk from contamination.
  3. Less people are working in the warehouse due to social distancing restrictions so it takes longer to process returns.

Check if the package has been delivered to them. If so, allow 10-14 working days for them to process before chasing.

NoWordForFluffy · 16/06/2020 20:18

I returned something to Next via Hermes almost 3 weeks ago. No sign of a refund / acknowledgment of receipt yet. I've not chased it as you have to tell them the item number and size, so I need to go through my orders to get this info to send them. I'll wait until 3 weeks have passed.

pumpkintree · 16/06/2020 20:44

Please track the return if you can before you contact any company to chase as lots of carriers are holding returns due to short staff or Covid reasons!

WanderingTrolley1 · 16/06/2020 20:46

Boden and John Lewis. Both refunded within a week.

NoWordForFluffy · 16/06/2020 20:49

@pumpkintree, the courier kindly didn't bother leaving us the tracking code (contactless pick up from porch) so I've no way to track it. Really helpful of him. 🙄

Patsypie · 16/06/2020 20:49

Topshop item posted on Friday and an email this morning saying it's been refunded. I'm astounded!

silentpool · 16/06/2020 20:50

Uniqlo took less than a week but it went back through a Hermes parcel shop.

fei0131 · 16/06/2020 20:56

Aldi took less than a week for me via Royal Mail.
