I’m putting some velvet on my bedroom walls and was thinking of maybe a velvet duvet cover

As others have said, I have a cotton duvet with a velvet (not crushed velvet) throw. Works well in our room.

This just filled me with horror imagining how hot it would make me at night.

I had one and it was awful, it slipped all over the bed and I was constantly having to pull it back over me.
It is now a dust sheet for when I'm painting.

Sorry, didn’t mean to post. I am surprised at the negative responses as I thought these looked so nice. Are they really that bad?

StarlightLady · 14/06/2020 05:29

‘Can’t inagine it washing properly.

Bluesheep8 · 14/06/2020 07:24

Urgh just the thought of it makes me cringe. Velvet throw or cushion covers only.

SiaPR · 14/06/2020 07:26

Zebras, waterfalls and UFOs!

You’ve got to be kidding!

JingsMahBucket · 18/06/2020 05:39

@Lardlizard have you posted this before? If not, someone else posted this exact duvet last week or a week ago. It was hideous then and it’s hideous now.

This may be a different link though, which makes me wonder if this is spam.

I’m having problems visualising velvet on the walls. Like a 1970s Indian restaurant?

Firawla · 18/06/2020 06:45

Hideous
