I use Georgia size 10 at the moment for work. I fancy a change. What do you use?

Cambria. I find it easier to concentrate with it than Times New Roman for some reason. My job involves a lot of writing, so it does make a difference.

PawPawNoodle · 13/06/2020 10:10

Aerial 11 for letters, verdana 12 for everything else.

CallarMorvern · 13/06/2020 10:10

Calibri or Arial Nova. Can't bear TNR and I'm not fond of serifs in a font. I love fonts though and can spend ages trawling through them, buy I love calligraphy in general.

CallarMorvern · 13/06/2020 10:10

*but.

AveAtqueVale · 13/06/2020 10:12

Garamond 11

Moonflower12 · 13/06/2020 10:14

@DidoLamenting
I have to sing ' We're justified and we're ancient and drive an ice cream van' whilst doing it! (Showing my age!)

I use comic sans at work! We have to as it's the only font with out a Greek 'a'.

CakeCakeCake21 · 13/06/2020 10:16

Arial 12 or the default Calibri but a bit bigger.

Racheyg · 13/06/2020 10:18

Gills sans or verbana
These were the fonts used for branding my place of work.

Calibri for emails

Camomila · 13/06/2020 10:19

Arial 12 for writing and Arial 10 for footnotes. All titles in sky blue.

PurplePansy05 · 13/06/2020 10:22

Calibri for emails, Arial for documents. I can't stand TNR, it looks dated to me.

For personal documents, if I ever print anything myself, I usually choose something a bit more snazzy. However, these days I mostly design and order cards and invitations online.

PrawnWithAKind · 13/06/2020 10:27

Gentium is a beautiful font, particularly for anything that's going to be printed out. (Name changed because - disclaimer - I used to work with the guy that designed it.) software.sil.org/gentium/
I like a sans serif font for on-screen, usually calibri.

Apolloanddaphne · 13/06/2020 10:29

Arial 11, double spaced, is my favourite. We had to use it both for work and for my uni degree so I got very used to it.

TheGriffle · 13/06/2020 10:31

Arial 12 for me.

PrawnWithAKind · 13/06/2020 10:32

@Moonflower12 My ex-colleagues also designed a literacy font called Andika that has the option of a Greek or a double-storey 'a'. I think any font with smart-font capability should allow you to choose which style you want as default.

Holeywalls · 13/06/2020 10:34

@Moonflower12 I’m intrigued as to why you can’t use that a.

Lordfrontpaw · 13/06/2020 10:36

Helvetica. I don’t really mind as long as it’s clear. I studied typography at art school so I try not to go down the rabbit warren of looking to closely and Rs and &s...

PegasusReturns · 13/06/2020 10:38

Calibri, although I’m a lawyer as so there is a lot of pressure to use TNR. I find it old fashioned.

Frankly as long as its non comic sans I think you can get away with most!

shellysheridan · 13/06/2020 10:40

I use sassoonprimary as it's easy to read and we use it at work (Primary school)
For personal things I like Bookman

HandsOffMyRights · 13/06/2020 10:42

Calibri 11. TNR looks too dated.

StCharlotte · 13/06/2020 10:46

We use Tahoma 11 at work. I hate it.

I'm a Calibri girl myself.

Holeywalls Maybe the Greek a thing is a primary school where children are still learning how to write the letter a? Just a guess mind.

StCharlotte · 13/06/2020 10:47

I was using Arial in the 80s so it looks very dated to me.

iklboo · 13/06/2020 10:48

Our corporate rules say we have to use Tahoma 12. I'm not really a fan but apparently it's easier to read in print.

Thinkpinkstink · 13/06/2020 10:49

Something clean, simple and sans serif, like; Lato, Calibri (Light) or Verdana.

SeasonallySnowyPeasant · 13/06/2020 10:50

I like Arial size 11. We have to use Calibri at work Envy

JoysOfString · 13/06/2020 10:53

I love fonts so this is riveting for me! Lots of fonts I hate are being mentioned - I’d have resign if I had to use verdana or tahoma all day 😱

I love Helvetica on signs etc but not for writing long documents. I write a lot all day and the font has to “feel” right and not annoy me. I do like calibri, but at the moment I use either Lato or Avenir.

My favourite font is Scala sans but I don’t have it and it’s expensive.
