Just noticed her Instagram is blank.

Mother of daughter's has left too.

Has something happened?

I thought her acknowledgement was fine until I saw all the tweets! But I do think it's possible to grow as a person and reflect and learn. We used the term "chinky" ie a chinese take away when we were children (70s/80s). I'm not saying that was right but it was what most people said. Obviously we don't say that now. Does that make me a racist or just uneducated?

So many "influencers" are a house of cards. Lifestyle totally funded by brands who are gullible enough to think that giving a well off person more will encourage sheep to buy stuff they don't need.

MOD - basically posted anonymously on tattle slagging off her insta "friends" s and her husband. Was caught on and admitted it. Silent on insta since but set up house of hooper presumably to fulfil some contracted freebie work. She also was rude about Candice Braithwaite and this was linked to her work as a midwife and racist views and poorer outcomes for black women in labour. I think that last bit is right I don't follow CB so was a bit vague on that bit.

Enderthedragon · 09/06/2020 08:02

Lol, talk about the SIL's Instagram whilst tapping nose, but won't actually say what her Instagram is, why mention her then?

Enderthedragon · 09/06/2020 08:07

Well yes, I do agree with this to an extent. I remember when I was much younger referring to mixed race people as 'half caste' because that is the words I had been taught to use and I honestly didn't know any better at the age of 15. Obviously I would never say that now. I remember when I was about 15 or 16 my friend being horrified that I used it and explaining why and I never used it again!

But this is blatant racism, written on social media, from a fully grown woman, not even that long ago. And when SV never acknowledged it when she started discussijg BLM and sharing all the books she was reading with her kids like such a great mum, even though she must have remembered thinking/tweeting at least some of it. She only came out and admitted 'I was racist' when the tweets started coming out.

mrsswayze · 09/06/2020 08:09

Brummymummyof2 has taken a break as she posted something on insta about people not being like us on some story about racism, but she her self was racist making such remarks
I really think all these instamums/YouTube influencers have had there day. During this pandemic I've noticed all the moaning they've done when in fact they all have very comfortable life's

Winkywoop · 09/06/2020 08:34

@itsintheshed it's annoying because I knew what it was before she changed her name, now can't find it!

Winkywoop · 09/06/2020 08:36

Oh, found it Smile

Flippinfurloughed · 09/06/2020 09:18

They have taken down the news article - someone has screenshotted it before it went though. Susies lawyers HAVE been busy gushing it up haven’t they? I HATE the cover up - she was vile, at least own up to it and take the flack rather than closing all accounts and running away.

Hushing not gushing Grin

Budapestpest · 09/06/2020 09:49

I’m obviously hugely naive. How can her solicitors stop it appearing on the internet?

Budapestpest · 09/06/2020 09:51

Especially when we know what happened to MOD, she appeared in every newspaper going!

AnneBullen · 09/06/2020 09:59

She’s managed by Gleam, they must have some leverage at the newspapers. Can’t think why they would bother to come out to bat for her though, surely she’s finished and they can make no more money from her? She has no other talent to sell other than selling things on insta?

StopMakingATitOfUrselfNPissOff · 09/06/2020 11:50

What an idiot - firstly for thinking it and secondly for bloody posting it on the internet!

How arrogant must you be to post racist/disablist/downright vile views on the internet when most of your income (I'm assuming!) comes from posting on the internet!

hopeishere · 09/06/2020 12:33

I think her career as an Instamum is relatively new. So the tweets was when she worked in magazines. Did she work for Nuts mag?

Daisyxxchainxx · 09/06/2020 13:06

What was mod saying againts her husband lol?

Yes Its abit of a strange way of being really isn't it. Susie is a women who got with a sportsman that most have never heard of. She had his children. They are comfortable. She wanted to be relatable and down with mums. But all she is doing is showing people what we can't afford and never probably will. I bet most of her followers don't have land and chickens and a huge home. I couldn't show off everything I had knowing others are not going to be that lucky. I am kind of glad to see these mummy/daddy bloggers loosing the power they have. They don't need the money. We don't need them to tell us to buy biscuits, £20 leggings, toothbrushes and ready meals. I don't need Susie to suggest regatta to me. If my kids need waterproofs I can find some myself. I think it's sad that some people copy these wealthy privleged people.

Susie is disgusting. The fat comments also pissed me off. Who does she think she is!

ahhaohho · 09/06/2020 13:28

I find it shocking how some of them behave. The more followers and ad deals they are increasingly out of touch with reality.

I used to love a certain Essex/Canadian mummy vlogger but I stopped when she was promoting these jackets for her boys that were literally hundreds of pounds. Most adults I know wouldn't spend that on a coat, let alone a kids one for school. They were very "cool" with built in goggles and I'm sure many sheep with more money than sense would follow in the trend....but it's the sort of thing that really segregates children on the play ground and can affect them into adulthood.

The most recent upload of how to sell your house on the first viewing and things that really made a difference...to what? It hasn't been on the market for months. I mean come on! Having a healthy bank balance to fill it with lovely things/pricey refurbs helps.

I imagine in real life they're just incredibly insensitive people. I had to unfollow I'm afraid. I've reached the point of eye rolling which isn't nice for anyone!

Francina670 · 09/06/2020 14:14

Do brands feel confident influencer marketing works or is it just a bit of a shot in the dark for them? Must be very cheap compared to other forms of advertising. The freebies are so annoying. It’s not just the greed element it’s the amount of waste. You have people who claim to care about the environment who then show you all the plastic crap they get sent ‘for the children’.

Daisyxxchainxx · 09/06/2020 14:34

The odd time I've clicked on something a mummy influencer has shared I've been shocked at the price and clicked back off.

The most expensive thing I get is a yearly bottle of Estée Lauder at £32. My kids have clothes from Matalan, Asda, h&m and next. I have never paid £20 for one pair of leggings. I can't afford £50 face creams and £20 lipsticks.

Susie does have alot of followers who I dare say will buy the same leggings as Milo and rex. But taste wise. I mean this in a non nasty way. I don't personally like a majority of clothes she puts them in. I personally put my son in jeans and joggers. Nothing against her style (people won't all like mine) but my son just wouldn't suit leopard skin leggings. I don't know any mums of boys that dress their boys in the prints she goes for either. But perhaps the wealthier mums with the styled homes would. I think she speaks to a certain type of person and it's not your average mum.

As for fod and mod. I presume people will try copy them as they have a very stylish luxurious home.. again it's beautiful. But would I decorate my kids bedrooms like there's? Nope. It's very classic look. No modern looking toys etc. I'm sure they have them hidden in the cupboard though. It just looks like a show home rather than a family home. But I can't relate to them on that level either. I buy my paint from Wilko's and we don't have the money or the home to style it they way. They also must appeal to the wealthier parents.

I’m surprised the Daily Mail hasn’t run an article on this. They love shit like this!

dooble · 09/06/2020 15:03

A friend was talking to me about this the other day as she has a insta brand.

The thing is who even thinks like that, let alone tweets it!!!! At least she hates everyone!

I left insta because I got bored of the adverts & the stealth adverts. Never followed mums, but if you're going to be a family brand that sells for a living you need to be controversy free surely?!

Daisyxxchainxx · 09/06/2020 15:16

I know. It's funny because they are not really famous but they kind of are.

Susie must think she's better and prettier than everyone. One of her tweets said she was late or something because she was watching a documentary on channel four about fat people on benefits. I thought reading that it shows she spoilt. If it wasn't for Greg she would probably be alot worse off and with alot less time

I feel like they are so false. I bet they never do there own cleaning either. If this ends the show of rich people who use their kids to gain then it's a good thing.

Tickles me how fod and greg have stayed. Fod won't give up his insta fame. He has the worst spelling and is not funny in the slightest but he wants us to see him holding two kids in his arms at once (what a multitasker) and his fancy decor ofcourse haha

BullshitVivienne · 09/06/2020 15:23

I think MOD called her husband a class A twat or similar. Which is fair.

I honestly hope the mummy influencer trend is over. I've unfollowed a lot of people simply because I'm sick of being sold to all the time. Get a real job, the rest of us have to.

Daisyxxchainxx · 09/06/2020 17:29

Lol! Somehow he remained married to her 😂😂 it's all mental.

Yes let's hope it's the end of it all. It's the worst way to sell things!

ItsInTheShed · 09/06/2020 23:24

rebecca meldrum was flogging tropics and doing very nicely too

she was top of their leaderboard and had earned them 34k in sales in a short time......but they have dropped her after her latest racism, quite tame compared to susie but not the first time. mrs meld rum has now deleted all her social media

ginandbearit · 10/06/2020 05:46

Just had a look at FOD ..he posted a black square for blackout tuesday but disabled comments..not gone down well

Flippinfurloughed · 10/06/2020 07:35

@ginandbearit

Greg did this too - apparently the disabling commments was so we didn’t all focus on the wrong thing..... like maybe his girlfriends racist tweets?! Any time anyone writes a comment on another post or tweets him something it disappears. Do they expect to just ignore it and sidle back on to flog is something?
