At a guess what would you say is being held here?

The back end of a cat

Can you show more of the picture? I can't get the context at all and can't see what you mean by 'being held'.

Looks like a small dog with black markings on face, fawn face and black ears.

Why?

I can see a wrist wearing a black watch. The hand is holding a blunt black lumpish thing, as though it's a torch. But it's an uneven shape. Wider and narrower, unlike a torch.
