Just need an unbiased opinion.

Based on clothes only, is this baby a boy or a girl?

Girl

My son used to be mistaken for a girl because he had ringlet curls.

Pebblexox · 06/06/2020 21:43

I would dress my dd in that outfit, however I also buy a lot of her clothes from the 'boys' section. So they could be either.

AFewScrewsLucy · 06/06/2020 21:46

@MadameBoulaye

Girl. Terrible outfit though, particular the trousers being dark grey.
Thank you @MadameBoulaye for such kind words. I'm so happy you shared them with me, makes me feel great

Either I would have dressed my son in that.

AFewScrewsLucy · 06/06/2020 21:53

@hotstepper4

It's a top aimed at a baby girl.

It has ruffled edges and a pink colour in the stripes.

However I'm willing to bet that this is a picture of your son, wearing a top from the girls section, and you're annoyed that someone has mocked or questioned your choice to put him in it.

Hope you didn't put a lot of money down.... She's a girl 😂😂😂

And if I read my posts you'll know im not annoyed at people getting it wrong. Just wondering if I was going paranoid about people calling her a boy. I was thinking like almost everyone thought boy, but if the thread is anything to go by, then I'm wrong. Probably just confirmation bias making me think that.

My oldest Dd got called a boy from one man when she was wearing a pretty yellow dress. People can be stupid. I think they see short hair and think boy, even though you don’t get many baby’s with long hair.

Girl

Girl - Pink stripes and frills on the sleeves.

@MadameBoulaye Is probably just a troll. Don't worry, there is nothing wrong with your baby's outfit (or dark grey leggings).

DidoLamenting · 06/06/2020 22:07

Could be either. I've no sense from looking at the picture of whether it's a boy or a girl. I had tops like that for my son although I wouldn't have put the grey leggings on him. Children soon enough have to wear dreary grey or black for school uniform - for that age I preferred bright colours.

Horehound · 06/06/2020 22:08

boy

juneo63 · 06/06/2020 22:08

Girl!

@MadameBoulaye

Girl. Terrible outfit though, particular the trousers being dark grey.

What the fuck does this even mean?! So no girl or woman can wear dark grey?

Complete bollocks

GrumpyMoo · 06/06/2020 22:32

I would have said girl even before reading the comments and your reply.... and fwiw I like the outfit! I got SO fed up of people asking me how my 'son' was and how cute 'he' was.. he wasn't a he at all.. very girly, looked nothing like a boy and thanks to the awful fashion of the time was almost predominantly dressed head to toe in fuschia pink or some derivative (nearly 25 years ago now)! I used to go out some days with a note pinned to her clothes that stated 'I am a girl'. Got one narky comment from an old lady who wanted to know why I felt I had to be so grumpy about it at all. And you know what? I just decided to go along with it. People think what they want... Until the day that my daughter, again head to toe dressed in pink gets called a boy 'isn't he just adorable, happy little chap then ain't he?' and I'm going along with it 'yes he is isn;t he'... and she says to me... 'Why's 'e all dressed in pink then, eh? Bit confusing!!' Totally gave up at that and refused to comment either way. I've never forgotten it.

MarleyBarley18 · 06/06/2020 22:42

I would say dressed like a girl lol

Lordfrontpaw · 06/06/2020 22:49

What’s the problem? DS was frequently mistaken for a girl when he was little. He was a gorgeous little thing though. Now he’s a hulking huge teen with a voice like gravel and a face full of fuzz.

DidoLamenting · 06/06/2020 22:50

What the fuck does this even mean?! So no girl or woman can wear dark grey?

That isn't what the other poster said. I also think the grey leggings are extremely dull and I wouldn't have put them on a boy or a girl.

Lordfrontpaw · 06/06/2020 22:58

I love charcoal grey. It’s quite a practical colour - and little children are a bit messy aren’t they? I’m not keen on seeing children in black (I was brought up that it was for funerals) but dark/neutral leggings and a nice top is a sensible choice.

nysnet · 06/06/2020 23:13

They're just plain leggings. Grey goes with everything so it makes it easier to match. I never knew people were against certain colours on babies.

Destroyedpeople · 06/06/2020 23:14

I don't know. Some kind of baby.

Rosehassometoes · 06/06/2020 23:15

Girl

Spacepocket · 06/06/2020 23:30

Dunno. Can’t see past those dimples on her hands 💗💗 😝
Am not broody.

When people can't tell the sex of my baby from her clothes, I consider that a win- I've resisted bullshit gendering stereotypes again
