I am sad and need the power of Mumsnet to help me find something I have lost.

I’ve looked everywhere, I’ve even paid the kids to look and they can’t find them either. I’ve lost my headphones. It is silly to be sad but they were a gift and I loved them-they fit my little ears lovely and doNt cause me pain when wearing them. They’re in a black square charging case and I can last visualise them in my bedroom as I had been wearing them to do my housework.
We have not long had workmen in but I’m 95% confident they haven’t taken them.
I have been known to have them fall out of my handbag in my car but I have checked and can’t see them (they normally belong in the zip pocket of my bag).
So I’m calling on the Mumsnet collective to see if anyone can help me find them.

Fallen behind a radiator?

It might be too long ago now to do this, (although I have sometimes managed a while after) but I retrace what I done when lost something, but expect you tried that. Unfortunately, it's possible you accidentally threw them out if you were cleaning. What about repeating exactly what you did that day (the cleaning). Could they have been kicked under the bed?

You're not missing it at all.

It's one of the first signs of him turning into his father/grandfather. He is embracing the Dad Jokes phenomenon wholeheartedly, having held them in for the first 40 years of his life, just waiting for the time where he could start inflicting them upon me.
