Do you think any other years will be back at primary before the holidays?

I know the Government originally said that they wanted to get all primary children back to school in England for a month before holidays, but with yrs R, 1 and 6 using most of the available space, is that really likely to happen now? And if any other years do go back, who do you think might be next?

I was told today by our head that no other year groups would be returning before the summer holidays. Reception, years 1 and 2 are back but that is it. Also, if things don't change over the summer, they won't be back in September either!

Year 2 shouldn’t be back at all.

I am surprised that several people have stated that their schools can't take any of the year groups back because they are at capacity with key worker children. That suggests that if every classroom is home to a bubble of 15 key worker children, half of the children in the school (assuming 30 to a class) have parents who are key workers that are sending their children to school

What if you have, eg only 7 small classrooms and 3 teachers not returning due to being extremely vulnerable? If you had the remaining 4 teachers with 10 KW/vulnerable children in each, it’s easy to see why they couldn’t accept any more.

My dc school are having every year back for one week between next week and July, starting with reception and working up to year 6 in mid July.
My DDs high school isn’t going back till September and year 10 are going back in July for 3 weeks.
They are however still having the year 6 transition day in 2 weeks but obviously they be the only children in the building.

No, of the kids I know, a lot of schools are only open to keyworker children and maybe year R or Y1. Most schools round here haven't got space for Y6.

Y2,Y3,Y4,Y5 will all be without education for at least six months. Pretty awful.
