I like the sun when I’m on holiday but it’s a bit intense days and days in end !

Yes!!! I'm pregnant and struggling!
Like you, I can really enjoy it half naked with an ocean or pool in front of me.
But pregnant during a pandemic with a toddler running riot is no use.

Lardlizard · 01/06/2020 18:28

Oh poor your pregnant in all this heat and everything else !
I wouldn’t mind if I at least had air on in my bedroom as at least you could have one place to escape from it !

The sun is strong, but I wouldn't say it is hot at all, actually the air is quite cool. I think the weather temp/sunshine has been perfect. What I don't like is hot and humid, anything 28+ in July/August in the UK tends to be uncomfortable. I am just hoping for some rain tbh. We've only had one rain shower since lockdown.

MoreSchnitzelPlease · 01/06/2020 18:42

I am looking forward to cooler weather, but it's only the first of June, we have a few months to go!

Sparklingbrook · 01/06/2020 18:45

I am loving it. Sitting in the shade with wine and a book. Washing dries on the line.
Historically July and August are rainy and horrible so be careful what you wish for.

Bookridden · 01/06/2020 18:45

I really miss rain and grey days.

SinglePringle · 01/06/2020 18:47

I’m gutted it’s going to end. I adore it hot and sunny and am offering up to the Gods of Weather, pleading that they’ll bring it back!

Sparklingbrook · 01/06/2020 18:47

We'll get plenty of those when the correct season rolls around @Bookridden, and before we know it we will be scraping ice off the car windscreen on a dark morning and worrying if it will snow. Sad

TSSDNCOP · 01/06/2020 18:48

Our Easter St Lucia trip was binned so I'm soaking up the rats in compensation. Can go bare legged when I go back to work next week!

Campervan69 · 01/06/2020 18:48

No. That might have been our summer so be careful what you wish for. I am currently sitting by a river in the middle of a forest with no one around apart from the kids who are swimming. Won't be able to do this from Wednesday onwards which I am gutted about

oohnicevase · 01/06/2020 18:49

Nooooo .. I love it!! Feels like everyday is a holiday!!!

TSSDNCOP · 01/06/2020 18:49

Rats? That's not right Grin

SoupDragon · 01/06/2020 18:49

Nope. We've had months and months of shit weather during autumn, winter and spring.

ilovesooty · 01/06/2020 18:51

No.
Perhaps we'll soon see threads pining for hot chocolate, twinkling lights, snuggling and blankets. After all we're into June now. Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 01/06/2020 18:59

Lets put the Christmas tree up, get new pyjamas out, boil some sprouts up and have done with it. Hmm

OrangeGinLemonFanta · 01/06/2020 19:10

I agree with Baaaahhhhh that while the sun is strong, it doesn't feel particularly hot at all in the shade. I had to put a cardi on the other day because I would burn to a crisp sitting in the sun but was a bit cool in the shady part of the garden. It's perfect weather.

DrCoconut · 01/06/2020 19:14

We've had a few days of nice warm weather. It's the start of summer. I hope it lasts until September at least as we've had months of grey and cold. The sun is good for my SAD and vitamin D deficiency. The forecast is not so good after Wednesday though.

dementedma · 01/06/2020 19:21

There is already a moany thread from people longing for autumn. Can we not just enjoy a few days of sunshine?

pollyanna1962 · 01/06/2020 19:24

No I love to be outside and this is heaven for me. I actually really down and the thought of a week or more of rain and temperatures 10c cooler.

Lardlizard · 01/06/2020 19:26

This is a celebration of cooler weather to come

Are you talking about the UK because I think this is just nice. I was pregnant 2 years ago in 35 degree heat and I hated it but I like this. I'm pregnant again and handling it well but not looking forward to the hotter months to be honest.

SoupDragon · 01/06/2020 19:32

No, it's definitely a moany thread.

ExpletiveDelighted · 01/06/2020 19:33

It's not been too bad this time because it's been breezy and not humid. Also my house stays tolerably cool downstairs where I'm working. By the time I've finished work the garden is shaded. I don't like being out and about in it though and really hope it's not heralding a heatwave like the one two years ago which was horrendous. I'd love some rain for the allotment now too.

Sparklingbrook · 01/06/2020 19:34
