I like the sun when I’m on holiday but it’s a bit intense days and days in end !

My house is a small mid-terraced so I’m grateful for the warm weather and being able to sit in the garden. It just feels wrong to wear a cardigan in May or June. I don’t understand how people in the outer Hebrides can stand the weather up there.

@Lardlizard

This is a celebration of cooler weather to come
No, it's yet another moaning thread.
LindainLockdown · 01/06/2020 20:21

I hate hot weather, bring on the rain and the cool days, I also enjoy a good moan so fuck off hot weather lovers, start your own thread.

Nice.

Nope.

tigger1001 · 01/06/2020 20:44

It's been a bit too warm for me. I struggle in the heat - zaps my energy. Oh has a skin allergy to uv light so won't spend much time outdoors as his skin blisters.

Love the long days though and being able to sit out in the evening when it's cooler. Do wish for a little rain at night to save me watering the garden

rockingthelook · 01/06/2020 21:01

Be glad you are off to enjoy it, and think of all the medical teams and other staff in full ppe trying to cope in this heat, it's horrendous, the salt in your sweat makes your face so sore :(

ExpletiveDelighted · 01/06/2020 21:31

I must admit I love the long hours of daylight, evening walks, sitting in the garden, watering the allotment. Then out for any early morning run before it gets too hot again.

Yankathebear · 01/06/2020 21:32

No but I am looking forward to a day off so that I can actually enjoy the sunshine.

Tumbleweed101 · 02/06/2020 00:00

It's been gorgeous - not too hot and humid. Proper warm sunshine to enjoy. I'm back at work on Thursday and will really miss sitting in the garden enjoying the sun.

I don't like it when it gets 25C plus in the country as it tends to be humid too and we don't have the aircon to compensate but 20-25C is perfect.

AdoptedBumpkin · 04/06/2020 10:49

On Monday I wanted some rain. Now it's raining I'm not so sure...

vodkaredbullgirl · 04/06/2020 10:53

So glad its cooler now, hate it when it is too hot. Work nights and the heat has been unbearable.

Shuckle · 04/06/2020 10:59

Definitely enjoying the cooler weather for a bit, I'm 31 weeks pregnant and although warm sunny days are great, the muggy nights were just getting too much and adding to my sleep problems! This is a much nicer temperature, leggings and a t shirt but not sweating out of every pore is perfect for me!

LimitIsUp · 04/06/2020 11:03

I am pleased its now cooler - just for a bit of respite. I wouldn't want it to be cool all summer and will welcome a return to warmer days when they come. However the recent hot weather had its downsides - getting up at 6 every morning to walk the dogs before it got too hot for them, breaking into a clammy sweat with the minor effort of putting the bin out and too warm to sleep.

Giggorata · 04/06/2020 11:06

No, I regret that it's cooler. But then, I'm not hugely pregnant.
DS2 was born at the end of a long hot summer spent in London though, so I do empathise.
Angry (not angry)

Lardlizard · 04/06/2020 12:25

It’s so much more comfortable cooler

It's miserable. Like bloody October again.

Sparklingbrook · 04/06/2020 15:22

It's rubbish now. Really dark, a bit drizzly and depressing. Can't hang the washing out. Sad

DrCoconut · 04/06/2020 16:16

The temperature really dropped last night. Ours is a cold house and we needed the heating on for a short time as we were shivering. Looking forward to better weather again soon hopefully.

Delatron · 04/06/2020 17:00

Nope.

Last weekend was amazing. We canoed and paddle boarded and swam in the river. In fact the last three weeks have been just perfect. Shorts every day lots of much needed vitamin D.

We definitely need a bit of rain but we don’t need it to be bloody 13 degrees on Saturday grr. Awful.

However, it looks like it’s perking up from Thursday next week. Hurrah!

Delatron · 04/06/2020 17:01

It was lovely as there was a bit of a breeze with the heat and it wasn’t too humid. More of that please.

ExpletiveDelighted · 04/06/2020 17:37

The temperature is better but we still haven't had the much needed rain.

Sparklingbrook · 04/06/2020 17:45

It's raining here now (Worcestershire) and I have had to put the lamp on in the living room. Sad

Aragog · 04/06/2020 18:03

Rubbish weather towards the end of this week.

I can't do proper hot easily but what we've had so far this year m, well in Yorkshire anyway, has t been hot yet. Low to mid 20s is lovely and warm, and so much nicer for my joints.

Hating the wet - had two days of rain and drizzle, with dark skies. Rubbish.

And even worse for those working at my school right now as they can't get the children out as much - and obviously being outside as much as possible is what is being advised.

ExpletiveDelighted · 04/06/2020 18:06

We've had to put lights on but nowhere near needing heating.
