I couldn't be more BORED with losing weight.

Seriously, I'm so over it now.

Started back in February with a quite depressing 63lbs to lose. Yep, 63 bloody lbs.

On the plus side, I've managed to lose 33 of those lbs. but I've still got 30 to go. And I'm just bored of it all now.

I'm attempting a spot of visualisation so I've filled a jar with 30 glass pebbles and I'll transfer them one by one into another jar as I lose them. If I lose them. Motivation is a bit low today when I think about how far I still have to go

For the record, I eat about 1400 calories a day and walk 15,000 steps a day. The old adage of 'way less and move more' actually works - just wish it didn't take so long

Any other tips for motivating myself?

As Garfield said "Eating is social, but when you diet, you diet alone".

I hear you, although you have done absolutely brilliantly Flowers

I started in February too, managed to lose about a stone and need to lose another two and a half to be where I should be, although frankly will be glad to lose any further weight at all and just stay where I am. I'm disabled and in a bad patch where almost no exercise is possible, and my body and meds fight back every step of the way, so it's down to dieting alone and it's a long slow process of a couple of weeks to get even one pound off at the moment.

Soooo craving a Chinese takeaway.

I've so enjoyed reading these posts and you've all really cheered me up no end. Well done to everyone who's made progress. My main motivation to get thinner was so I wouldn't die if I caught a bad dose of Covid in the hope that they'd be able to move me without winches if I did. I'm now 42lbs down and still have a long way to go. I'm calorie counting mainly but also swimming every other day since the pools opened. I can now put my own socks on- progress!! I've still got lots of motivation but think I'll try the pebble thing and start building a rockery in the garden with big beach pebbles as all my pounds won't fit in a jar.
