Got the phone call today to say please return to the office tomorrow!

More then happy! Just worried that I've adopted a slower pace of life!! It'll be fine I'm sure!!

Yippee! I'm going back to work! 😁😁

Yay! Great news.

DarkDarkNight · 27/05/2020 22:16

Good news for you, they didn’t give you much notice though did they? Will you have childcare issues?

SomeBunnyovertheRainbow · 27/05/2020 22:17

they didn’t give you much notice though

That’s what I thought

OldSpeclkledHen · 27/05/2020 22:21

No kids, just me and a pony (she'll be glad to see the back of me!)

Just gotta get my ample arse in gear!

Regarding notice, we're all expected to return at some point?! I knew it was on the cards...

Welcome back to the world 👍.

managedmis · 27/05/2020 22:31

Public transport?

Foxes157 · 27/05/2020 22:36

I'm totally the reverse, tomorrow afternoon I finally get some decent time off during the pandamic.

After working myself to the ground and despite I'm no longer going away, I can chill in the garden.

Enjoy your work, I'll enjoy my lazy time.

jellytot24 · 27/05/2020 22:38

Great news! I had the call on Friday, back online today. I needed a nap by 11am Grin

Itwasntme1 · 27/05/2020 22:38

I’m not furloughed but working from home.

I can’t wait to go back into the office - but will my clothes fit😬. Not a chance.

BrieAndChilli · 27/05/2020 22:40

I suppose if you have no commitments but if you have kids less than a day isn’t gonna cut it! There’s no school or childcare such as after school/breakfast clubs etc so would be impossible o just rock up to the office in the morning!! Luckily both my bosses have kids so will be aware and thinking about that when we are unfurloughed.

JJJJJ00000 · 27/05/2020 22:42

Pleased for you! Plenty of kip tonight haha
I'm waiting for my phonecall, hoping it isn't gonna be too long now, being at home is driving me up the wall!

Muddlingalongalone · 27/05/2020 22:48

I went back yesterday - wfh. Great for the confidence to be so missed by my internal customers who obviously value me more than my boss but juggling with kids half-term is hard. Literally no routine & too much screen time & it's only day 2.

TARSCOUT · 27/05/2020 22:58

Enjoy! For others saying about short notice, just a heads up, you are expected to be available to work at all times and gov is suggesting 48 hours may be nice.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 27/05/2020 23:03

Great news! I can't wait until I'm unfurloughed.

Snookerloopy · 27/05/2020 23:39

Ooh! lucky you, Op!! Soo jealous 😄 we take it in turns to drive (slowly) past our work building...just to check it’s still there🙄 The trees have been allowed to grow up around the boundary, so you can only see the roof now😱
The novelty of furlough wore off after week 3, now we ring each other up and say things like ‘what day is it?... how long have we been off now?’
I wonder how long it will take us to moan about the alarm clock going off, having to wear ‘proper shoes’ the customers, the bosses, each other...😄. be time to book the Christmas party by the time we get back to work!

DramaAlpaca · 27/05/2020 23:43

Great news! Expect to be shattered by tomorrow evening Grin

I was asked to return part time instead of my usual full time a few weeks ago, I'm enjoying being back.

OldSpeclkledHen · 28/05/2020 07:58

Shit! I hope my clothes fit 🙊🙊

I haven’t been furloughed so this doesn’t affect me at the moment but I was thinking same as a PP re childcare etc. It’s good news to be going back.

nellyburt · 28/05/2020 08:04

Great news. Out of interest what industry? Would be good to know what type of companies are going back now.

Clairessouffle · 28/05/2020 08:10

oh Lord I'm switching my phone off! Got too used to staying home!

Groundhogdayzz · 28/05/2020 08:16

Really pleased for you! Be good to get back to routine, after a couple of days it’ll be like you were never away!

Glenthebattleostrich · 28/05/2020 08:18

I find out today if I (and my assistant) can go back to work next week!! Also beyond excited at the prospect!

userxx · 28/05/2020 08:21

@Clairessouffle Turn that phone back on and get out there 😉

manitobajane · 28/05/2020 08:23

How unreasonable op, like we have time to go back to work after this lovely holiday we've all had 🙄😀

SomeBunnyovertheRainbow · 28/05/2020 08:25

It is interesting as my place of work (professional service) is still talking about furloughing and not opening the office for some time.

I miss going to work but I know I’m lucky that I can work from home as I have friends in the same industry who have or are being made redundant.
