Tipping over the edge, need a non corona virus related distraction. Going slowly and silently bonkers.
Thank you

Soap lady. Don't blame me if you relax so much you nod off.

Sparklingbrook · 25/05/2020 23:02

Lovely Ken.

Wow that soap tidy lady is indeed zen. I bet her house is an oasis of calm and order, unlike my shithole well lived in house.

Years ago I had a similar issue and came to the conclusion that the crow saw him or herself in the reflection of the window as a competitor crow? Who knows! 🐦

FadedRed · 25/05/2020 23:17

This:
it’s mesmerising

Happymum12345 · 25/05/2020 23:27

I’ve ordered about 30 dresses over the past two days.

Sparklingbrook · 25/05/2020 23:31

@FadedRed I couldn't take my eyes off them. It's like they are on wheels.

Queenest · 25/05/2020 23:42

😮 I was willing them to fling their arms around. Those sleeves!

xTinkerhellx · 25/05/2020 23:49

My cat is totally over this nonsense. Or has just eaten himself into a coma. One of the two.

Purchase wise, my last amazon delivery was a blackhead sucker removal thingy (which is responsible for the bruises all over my face) and a new cat tower. Which aforementioned cat is studiously ignoring.

He much prefers his old, broken, fallen apart one.

Ah lady in us tidying shop?
I once did this.
I was at a craft fair, as a stall ho,dee, in a giant garden centre that was going bust.
Huge place, big car park, very nice cafe, lovely flowers and plants, too many really, really lovely Gift/ home ware section, with nice furniture to display it on.
The craft fair was dead, so I went and tidied up some giftware, and displayed it all very nicely.
It was gorgeous stuff.
Company, privately owned, I think, went bust, bought straight away by a big chain, some renovations in car park etc, and open again.
Shame really, but I had fun.
( I was bored, what can I say )

@Mother87 do you have a link!??

That sounds like something I need in my life.

Timetospare · 26/05/2020 00:15

Lovely Ken has made me very happy. Now off to sleep dreaming of laminators, massive paddling pools, people that love tidying, dogs, cats and sliding dancers! And tooth steamers, or was that an oral irrigator?
Night, night,

What did I just watch? People dancing on their tip toes whilst studiously ignoring each other?

TreacherousPissFlap · 26/05/2020 01:40

Not bought during the lockdown, but one night when I was very drunk tired, I purchased a handmade tail suit from eBay. I too forgot all about it until it arrived at the door.
We should also probably gloss over the puppy we acquired while drunk. We were woken the next morning by an unfamiliar noise and tripped downstairs to see a puppy asleep in a cage and our other dogs looking utterly bemused and aghast
She turned out to be an utter hag and has cured DH and I of our lawless ways Grin

JustStayHome · 26/05/2020 01:46

@Horses4

We have a crow who does that, literally goes around the outside of the house , "knocking" on every window as he goes...

Bloody thing !!!

MyFuckingFairyGarden · 26/05/2020 07:18

I've just pulled an all nighter, reading my Kindle and playing scrabble go and reading mumsnet. Part insomnia, part because we'll I'm not going anywhere or having to abide by the laws of regular life at the moment so let's make it a party for one.

I love night time. Cooler, quieter, I love it!

Admittedly things might be different if I wasn't also sick and waiting for my covid test results.

Things I've done recently, which may be amusing: sleep-ordered stuff for my child who has just had a birthday, which I specifically told her we couldn't have. OH says I've been sleep talking a lot (what's funny is he has started doing it, I'm the one with form for it). I fell asleep cuddling an Easter Egg in April.

I've been told I'm not allowed a paddling pool. Admittedly it would take up the entire lounge.

Oops - was trying to post pic for you xtinkerhellx - couldn't do linkBlushI seem have ordered a couple of these. Not sure what kind of house you would need, but they certainly don't 'go' with anything in mineGrin

Deathraystare · 26/05/2020 09:45

My cat would like to show you how he stops the human from working

Well, ClientQ - you have seriously affected his/her routine. Can you not go out for walks/bike rides/ numerous shopping trips so that the poor cat can get on with things? It is their house you know! You are being unreasonable!

packetandtripe · 26/05/2020 10:35

Those toilet brushes are something else @Mother87. I kind of really want them and kind of really don't!
