How Old Do I Look ? (photo included)

No editing on photo, took in natural daylight. Bit blurry but hopefully can still see all the natural skin lines, etc

I’ve had plenty of lockdown thoughts about being grateful for my relatively ok health (asthma and very minor heart condition) and future travel ambitions so just wanted to know if I look as ‘lived-in’ as I feel.

I don’t wear any makeup/foundation/tinted moisturiser etc , just mascara.

I’m not sensitive about my age so be as brutal as you like

You look great. I’m terrible at guessing age but you’ve got real natural beauty.

I never understand why people put themselves in display like this.
Unless you're 100 years old these threads rarely go well..

Sunbathing is very ageing. If you want to minimise the damage- wear spf 50 every day (heliocare do a tinted 50 which is lovely), try a vitamin C serum and a retinoid. Thats the gold standard regime for anti ageing

I wanted to say your past does not show (the violent relationship etc). You look happy and friendly. I wouldn’t have guessed a difficult life or whatever. It has bounced off you.

The people saying early 60's, are you joking?!

I always find these threads weird, it seems some people are comparing the OP to botoxed celebs (Madonna is early 60's and looks weird as heck) whereas I compare the OP to my friends and with the best will in the world, they don't look like that in their early sixties! You know, retirement age.

But then on MN no-one has wrinkles anyway, on the beauty threads everyone has the skin of a 20 year old and really don't have any lines at all even though again, in real life, I don't have friends between 40-60 who don't have lines. That's why anyone with wrinkles is immediately deemed to be very old indeed.

Mumsnet ageing is different than real-life ageing!

I was going to guess early 50s but you are definitely NOT a minger, you have a lovely face, very classic, classy, I'd love your face. More impressive though is you sound like you've had an interesting life and it ain't over yet 😀.

Suddenly I would say 55 but it’s quite tricky. Some people look older than their age, some look younger, so you could be anything between 40 and 60.

I don't get why people are taking 61 as an insult. I am 61and have no deep lines at all except fine ones around my eyes when l smile. Why is it an insult to say someone looks 61 instead of 51? I would've said 61 to 65 but only going by how my own face has aged. I too use high sunblock factor but have never been a sun queen anyway, avoid it a lot wearing a hat in it etc. I drink lots of water and have never smoked and only occasional social drink.

Don’t pay attention, you look young and pretty.

For posters questioning why I’m asking for opinions on my age, I have answered that previously upthread, but also it’s because I’m hoping it shows how old we look doesn’t matter,
it really is the life in you not the life on the outside of you that counts.

Nope! none of my friends smoke or sunbathe so maybe I have a skewed perception of what 50 looks like but most of my friends do look way younger than they are.

You have beautiful bone structure and look lovely without makeup. I would have said your age around early 50s. I bet with makeup you would be stunning!
