Sorry a bit tmi ahead. Lying in bed with dog under the covers (yes I know) daughter was in bed too bit gone to her own bed. Started to feel wet sensation underneath me and discovered sheet soaking wet and so are my pants and jim jams but only from my lower back down to my bottom (not my 'front bottom'). Wet patch is colourless and doesn't smell of anything at all. Wtf has caused that??? No water anywhere near bed. Only wet underneath where I was lying. 99% sure it isnt wee. Am I going mad???

Also no colour or smell to it so it's almost certainly not wee...

Yeah that’s how my waters started leaking...

Lockheart · 23/05/2020 23:50

Are you absolutely certain you're not pregnant? Just because you're 48 doesn't mean you can't be. Have you had unprotected sex?

I hope you arent still lying in it, OP? Don't wait for us to guess what it is before you get out of bed and clean up, because sometimes these threads can take days to come to a conclusion! Fwiw I think it's sweat.

scrivette · 23/05/2020 23:55

It must be the dog, surely you would have felt it if it were waters breaking?

Knucklehead101 · 23/05/2020 23:56

Well pregnancy would be highly unlikely. I really dont think its sweat because its not where I normally get sweaty and not sweaty anywhere else. I hate not knowing for sure.

youwereagoodcakeclyde · 23/05/2020 23:56

I think its dog wee from a very well hydrated dog

LaurieFairyCake · 23/05/2020 23:57

Oh yeah - well hydrated dog wee

justasking111 · 23/05/2020 23:59

Perimenopause your first hot flush?

Knucklehead101 · 23/05/2020 23:59

I think the dog is looking like the most likely culprit but not sure why it was only under me. Maybe he projected it across!!

A similar thing happened to me. It was followed by a horrendous period and I ended up seeing a gynae consultant and having 2 ultrasounds. He thought I'd poss had an cyst (fallopian I think) which can lead to a gush of clear fluid, and all menopause related. That was about a year ago and hasn't happened since.

SirVixofVixHall · 24/05/2020 00:11

Press some loo roll onto it to soak some up. If it is wee the tissue will look pale yellow, if it is water then it will be colourless.
If you wet yourself lying on your back then it would all go the back, but I am sure you would have felt it as it is hot. More likely that the dog had a wee there before you sat there, or you/your dd spilt some water.

Eckhart · 24/05/2020 00:17

When my dog had a UTI recently she peed in the bed and it was odorless. She looked terribly guilty. In fact I noticed the guilt before I noticed the puddle.

JustStayHome · 24/05/2020 00:21

Highly unlikely or impossible?

Very different OP?

Namechangeapril20 · 24/05/2020 00:30

When I was pg with DD2 i woke up thinking my waters had broken - knickers, pjs and bedding soaked, not just damp - and went to hospital but turned out to be sweat 🙈 embarrassed doesnt even cover it - I went to hospital with an overly sweaty fanny. Seemingly hormones swings can cause it but that didnt take the sting out of explaining to everyone it was a false alarm including my DM who I'd gotten out of bed in the middle of the night to mind dd1

Redrosesandsunsets · 24/05/2020 00:30

Back sweat

Eckhart · 24/05/2020 00:34

I'm sorry. This really made me laugh. And I've had nightsweats myself. I know it's not funny.

villamariavintrapp · 24/05/2020 00:41

Assuming it's warm liquid, it must be pee from one of you. Guessing the dog.

Given your age, I think it could be this ^

Oh dear... I don’t know what to say, just that I’m puzzled and placemarking

TheMotherofAllDilemmas · 24/05/2020 00:47

... just in case the same happens to me

IntoTheUnknown89 · 24/05/2020 00:48

I don’t know if this article may help:
