What's your current favourite savoury snack?

AllPlayedOut · 18/05/2020 19:55

I'm addicted to Market Deli Garlic and Herb pitta chips and The Curators' Pork Puffs, Especially the former, they're on special just now and I've bought so many bags. I can't resist anything with garlic.

Salt and pepper calamari is another favourite.

What other snacks am I missing out on?

Crumpets with cheese and butter.

timtam23 · 18/05/2020 22:08

I have just discovered Aldi's red pepper roasted giant corn. It's more like a paprika/BBQ flavour I think. Really more-ish

AgeLikeWine · 18/05/2020 22:08

Salted pistachios
Cheese & onion sandwiches on white bread. Not a healthy choice, I know....

pinksquash13 · 18/05/2020 22:09

Rosemary crackers with hummus. Crackerbread with soft cheese and a drizzle of sweet chilli sauce. Pate and onion chutney on toast.

delilahbucket · 18/05/2020 22:10

Drinks biscuits from the drinks bakery, lemon olives from Sainsbury's, scampi fries (Blush), cool original Doritos with a Mexican dip selection, and we are working our way through a selection pack of pork scratchings from Snaffling Pig (don't rate the mustard ones as they need seasoning).

I shouldn't have started this thread. My shopping list is growing longer with every post but I'm grateful for the suggestions and looking forward to trying or revisiting them.

I’m scraping the bottom of the snack barrel here, so I’m down to Babybel cheese dipped in celery salt for aperos.

But tonight I rediscovered a corner of the fridge, and found a jar of Romesco sauce, (red peppers, ground almonds & tomatoes) so spread on baguette, that should keep me going for a few more evenings.

Rebelwithallthecause · 18/05/2020 22:13

Toast with peanut butter and marmite. It’s been a firm favourite for years but I’ve become addicted recently.

MotherofPearl · 18/05/2020 22:22

Bombay mix. M&S do a lovely one but Tesco's also good.

DartmoorChef · 18/05/2020 22:27

@alcalavicci they are in waitrose, coop, and costcutter. They really are very very nice.

RiftGibbon · 18/05/2020 22:30

Manomasa tortilla chips - the lime and pink peppercorn ones - just on their own.
Any salted tortilla chips with salsa (mild, preferably)
Mexian chilli spiced coated peanuts.

runwithme · 18/05/2020 22:33

AlCalavicci · 18/05/2020 22:33

@Dart
Drat I dont have a waitrose or cost cutter near me but I do have a coop near work , I may have to take a detour there as soon as I can

GeorgiaWeLoveYou · 18/05/2020 22:38

This is my sort of thread. Savoury snacks are very important to me. However, because of not going shopping much atm, my snacks are limited to garlic olives, falafel dipped in hummus and ready salted Walkers.

Dotty02 · 18/05/2020 22:45

Hmmm flaming hot curly cheetos!
Pork scratching Blush beef and tomatoe pot noodle with a slice of bread! Ooh I'm classy.
