Has Bob Ross...

...ever seen a deciduous tree? Does he think they're too sad to paint? Or can't he do them?

I would never badmouth His Bobness, the man was amazing. I was just a wee bit deflated when I found out about the hair. Shocked I was, shocked.

There’s a lot of love for Bob in this household too. My sons (teen and 12yo) watch his videos independently because they like them so much.

OMG I can't believe there are so many Bob Ross fans on here! Has anyone actually ever tried to recreate one of his paintings? I dare not even try, the disappointment would just be too much!

Im sure I have seen him paint non pine trees before though?

He did it on yesterday’s episode joe - the one where he let his little rescue robin free. With the muncy bird lady.

There is a warehouse somewhere with all his paintings. He made 3 of each, practice, show and one he spent more time on and perfected.

Stumbled across him on some weird channel in Belgium once. Absolutely mesmerising!

Seems after 10 years in the army he decided he'd never raise his voice again.

JoeExotic - DD (10) and I did a paint-a-long with him last week... here are out campfires. They are shite compared to his but my goodness, I just know he'd be like them.. I honestly love that man!

(We did use totally the wrong paints so I actually ordered some oil paints for our next attempts!)

Love, love, love Bob Ross! I've always been a night owl and used to watch him at 3am as a teenager, then again when DD was tiny and I was up in the middle of the night. DD is now 11 and loves to watch him on YouTube funnily enough I'm sure I've seen him do naked trees btw.

I might suggest a paint along for DS2. He’s so fed up at the moment, but Bob would mellow him out.

Do it, Boatyard... we had to stop and start a fair bit and, as mentioned, had totally the wrong paints, but it was so soothing that it didn't matter and his turn of phrases had us belly laughing which is something we had been missing for a while.

We are a family of Bob Ross fans! My three DC all use his videos to get to sleep. DD has a soft toy of him 😂

And I know somebody else who owns this beauty...

My DD has done a number of paint alongs with Bob... they're actually quite good! She has then in her room.

Ds 12 has been watching bob on youtube too and encouraged me to watch it the other day. His voice is so mellifulous - is that the right word .

Very different from Painting with Nancy which I recall from my childhood !

There was a programme about him on R4 this morning
I had never heard of him (sorry!) until reading this thread, and then the programme came on!
