As my neighbours on my estate are all sat together having a VE party?! Granted it’s a day to celebrate but sitting in a circle ( each 0.5m apart) chatting away, booze flowing!

Yup, mine too Hmm

0blio · 08/05/2020 20:34

There doesnt seem to be a lockdown here, I've never seen so many people going past my window, maybe they're 'exercising' Hmm

No street party though thank god.

SistemaAddict · 08/05/2020 20:36

They are testing Darwin's theory of evolution.

Dementedswan · 08/05/2020 20:37

Lockdown still going on here in the north east. We'a few of us have sat in our front gardens and had a couple of drinks whilst the kids have thrown paper aeroplanes at each other after sanitizing their hands.

Ilets · 08/05/2020 20:40

No it's an extended government funded holiday
Bill in the post

Cecilia2016 · 08/05/2020 20:41

I was thinking the same a lot of people in our road came out since 11:00am and they have been drinking since then and no social distances and all the children are just running around since morning

Chillipeanuts · 08/05/2020 20:43

Expect a big spike in infections in two or three weeks.

Holothane · 08/05/2020 20:43

We’ve had them at the back loud music all day no distancing my husband says.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 08/05/2020 20:43

We saw chaos on our walk. Lots of people hugging and sharing buffets. Drinking too much which means distancing goes out of the window.

FrancesHaHa · 08/05/2020 20:46

Lockdown seems to be pretty much ended in North London. Went for a run earlier through 2 parks - full of big groups on the grass, picnics etc

Probably inevitable when the tabloids are full of headlines about the lockdown being eased on Monday.

bigbluebus · 08/05/2020 20:49

Just saw a post on Facebook of a friend's street where everyone is doing what they were supposed to do - sitting on their own driveway.
From my house I can see/hear 2 gatherings - one where the tables are set apart in the road but people are walking around between them carrying food and children are riding around in between tables. The other is in a back garden with people who don't even live in the village never mind the street. I can't believe they think it is acceptable.

Greentea93 · 08/05/2020 21:03

These are “educated professionals” who have been posting on our residents group all lockdown how we all need to do our big etc etc but then see them walking their dog three times a day etc
I’m angry as they have music blaring and all sit in front of our row of houses 😡😡

but then see them walking their dog three times a day

Ooooh how incredibly dangerous.

Thickmuthafuckers · 08/05/2020 21:08

Same on my street, we also have a 5 piece band 🙄 my baby can’t sleep due to the racket, I’m really pissed off

AllsortsofAwkward · 08/05/2020 21:12

Where I live there was a massive street party dancing gin the road was ridiculous made the local news it was that bad.

Dodgytrousers · 08/05/2020 21:12

Everyone will blame Boris on here in a few weeks when there is a spike in infection rate....
🙄🙄🙄

BreathlessCommotion · 08/05/2020 21:12

You're allowed to walk your dog three times a day..

Greentea93 · 08/05/2020 21:15

@ BreathlessCommotion no you’re not?! One form of exercise a day?! I have children, a dog and we all go out once a day!

We had a lovely properly distanced neighbourhoid meet up. It was lovely. We're in a culture de sac, all sat on our drives and had a lovely catch up to keep us sane. We did not hug, we didn't break lock down and we're all the better for it.

HairyFloppins · 08/05/2020 21:17

Not here really anymore.

rosecreakybex · 08/05/2020 21:19

One form of exercise could be 4 runs or 3 dog walks or 1 power walk or 5 strolls

NuffSaidSam · 08/05/2020 21:20

'We're in a culture de sac'

Very posh! Grin

OooLookSun · 08/05/2020 21:21

All ok on my road. We sat in our front garden for an hour to show our face but everybody remained In their own zone. Pedestrians walked past only in pairs or alone with masks on. No issues at all. Police drove through 4 times in the space of 1 hour.

Selfsettling3 · 08/05/2020 21:21

The government have definitely said your allowed to exercise more than once a day.

yearinyearout · 08/05/2020 21:24

Lots of "street parties" here including our street but all well over 6 feet apart.
