Late 30s I think. Had a pixie cut and kept that for years and years. Absolutely loved it.

Had chemo and my hair is sooooo thin now 😢. Now I look like an old dear. It used to be such a glorious colour and thick and lovely😭

PickledLilly I hear you. I have a similar streak, in the same place, only wider. I have used root touch up on it for years, the rest of my hair is only slightly starting to go a bit salt and pepper. I'd been thinking of letting go since Christmas, and have now started growing it out during lockdown. Getting quite relaxed about it now. I'm 59.

I have wondered about getting the stuff for removing dye, to just strip the streak right down so that it looks like a real feature against the mainly drown rest of my hair. However, it would probably go orange...!

It did look cool when I was 18 and I just had that one very white streak through my dark hair but it’s all a bit patchy now as bits are grey and bits are white and bits are still brown. My natural roots look less natural than the dyed bits because it’s so multicoloured and uneven!

Somewhere in my 30's due to stress etc. Never dyed it. I have a small patch that looks like morticia addams.
People who are greyer than me have noticed and pointed it out. I told them I dgaf I'm growing old disgracefully.
If I continue to go grey I may dye my hair lots of different colours.

Good on you all for just growing it out gracefully.

Bit ashamed to admit, but I’m late 30’s and have a few although you wouldn’t notice generally as they aren’t obvious areas.

I’m no where near ready to stop trying to hide them. I’ve got that root spray about £2.99 and that’s fine for me.

  1. I had been going grey for years before that and just got fed up with constantly dyeing it - expensive and faffy. I had a pixie cut to chop out most of the colour and just let it go from there.

It's now (2 years later) a chin-length bob, completely white at the front, graduating to darker grey at the back. Once out of lockdown I may get it chopped again with an undercut.

I love it and get loads of compliments.
