A new low.

I definitely don't have high standard by any stretch of the imagination, however today I've reached a new low, even for me.
After an exhausting day I really could not be arsed with the monotony of actually feeding my children. The offering today was nachos. No hand made, artisan salsa oh no! They had aldi tortillas and salsa, guac and sour cream from jars, hell even the cheese was pre grated from a bag!
Please tell me I'm not alone in my fucking awful standards! My children had glorified crisps for dinner and I'm (bizarrely) OK with this 🤦🏼‍♀️

Sounds lovely.
Superior cuisine if you want my opinion.

Spied · 06/05/2020 18:49

Mine made their own sandwiches and I added a packet of crisps, a yogurt and a mini roll to the 'picnic'.

LycraLovingLass · 06/05/2020 18:52

We often have a picnic tea.

Your Nachos sound delicious to me, everyone was fed.

mbosnz · 06/05/2020 18:56

Sounds pretty sodding good to me. . .

SpikeWearingACoat · 06/05/2020 19:19

Picnic tea! Genius! that is the branding I need.

My dd favourite is a picnic lunch/tea, as was mine 35-40 yrs ago apparentlySmile

Pleasebeafleabite · 06/05/2020 19:48

My DS has been having a multipack of frazzles for lunch every day this week.

Avocado and chives are two of their five a day, are they not? 🤷‍♀️

youngestisapsycho · 06/05/2020 19:50

As long as they are fed....

Myteamof4 · 06/05/2020 19:54

Can I come for tea too? 😁

Bumsmet · 06/05/2020 20:04

Thanks for the idea, that’s tomorrow sorted Grin

Magicshoppingtrolley · 06/05/2020 20:28

Oh picnic lunch is the best thing in our house apparently. If I let her have one I’m the best mum ever.

Thighdentitycrisis · 06/05/2020 20:32

picnic lunch on the floor on a picnic blanket? even more fun, paper plates so no washing up!

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 06/05/2020 20:39

Everyone fed, no one dead. That's a win.

Hedgehog44 · 06/05/2020 20:40

DS15 lives on those. All out of jars and pre-grated cheese.

Flippinfurloughed · 06/05/2020 20:41

Picky tea is a favourite in our house too. Sometimes, when I am particularly knackered, I call it a bed picnic and we eat it in my bed watching a film.

KnobwithaK · 06/05/2020 20:42

Guacamole is avocado - that's a super food, surely?

TinklyLittleLaugh · 06/05/2020 20:44

Standard trashy Saturday night tea in out house. Tin of chilli with it and even DH doesn’t moan.

frasersmummy · 06/05/2020 20:46

@adisgracetotheychromosome

Brilliant.. That's going on my fridge.. 😂🤣👏

Littlebelina · 06/05/2020 20:47

Avocado and tomatoes are two of your 5 a day. Calcium and protein from the sour cream and cheese and carbs from the tortillas. Sounds pretty balanced to me!

june2007 · 06/05/2020 20:50

So you had a lazy day. As long as this isn,t every day they will live and they were fed.

ihavetocookagain · 06/05/2020 20:54

Middle child said he'd cook last night, he then decided he couldn't be arsed and neither could I, we got pizza from shop, I made middle child cook them (10mins in oven) as I couldn't be arsed to do that!

carlywurly · 06/05/2020 21:06

My dcs dinner was entirely brown this evening. Don't worry about it.

Sodamncold · 06/05/2020 21:11

I’d go so far as to say it’s a stealth boast Grin

Sodamncold · 06/05/2020 21:12

* My dcs dinner was entirely brown this evening*

I hope you mean beige!

user1495884620 · 06/05/2020 21:16

That's a Mexican themed tea. You have just covered geography!
