What is the first thing you will do

when conditions are relaxed enough for you to do it?

Are you desperate to race at as soon as possible for a pint and a curry? To go to the theatre? To have a mooch round the clothes shops?

I know these things will all be permitted at different times, but the one thing I am going to do as soon as I am allowed is jump in my car and drive to visit my parents, who live around 200 miles away. I am missing them so much.

See my kids.

I am not bothered about anything else, really.

fuzzymoon · 04/05/2020 20:13

After the big stuff seeing family etc, I am really looking forward to a well made latte sat at a table by a window in an independent coffee shop watching the world go by.

WhatHaveIFound · 04/05/2020 20:23

Visit my parents. Even though i speak to my mum every day she's been through a tough couple of weeks as she's lost a close friend (not Covid 19) and couldn't go to the funeral last week.

CormoranStrike · 04/05/2020 20:23

See my mum and sisters

KatnissMellark · 04/05/2020 20:25

Introduce my DD to family (due any day now)

Aaaahhhndrea · 04/05/2020 20:25

I'll lower the tone with eyebrows Grin

Tableclothing · 04/05/2020 20:26

Take the baby to see all the friends and family they didn't have a chance to meet before lockdown.

Leah00 · 04/05/2020 20:28

See my mum

Perfidy · 04/05/2020 20:28

Get the dog groomed. She’s a sheep.

Myownwendyhouse · 04/05/2020 20:28

I really need some new summer clothes 😂. Will not be seeing my parents for a while as they are shielding. Looking forward to going swimming again if I’m honest.

AnnaNimmity · 04/05/2020 20:29

.see my friends

Get my eyebrows, feet and hair done.

Hug another adult.

happymummy12345 · 04/05/2020 20:30

Get my nails and eyebrows done. I'm hating having to pluck my eyebrows, and my acrylics have been on for nearly 9 weeks, obviously without an infill.

Mintjulia · 04/05/2020 20:30

I will arrange to meet a friend I haven’t seen since 1997, who contacted me in Jan, and then we didn’t get time to meet up. Smile

Can’t wait

Mintjulia · 04/05/2020 20:31

But I might get my roots done first. Grin

CeeCeeEnnEss · 04/05/2020 20:32

See friends and let DD play with her friends!

Also eyebrows, hair, nails, a massage...

Going out to restaurants and shops...

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 04/05/2020 20:33

Go to the Italian deli for an espresso macchiato and a pistachio cannoli. It's all I can think about everytime I even smell coffee...

FuckThisWind · 04/05/2020 20:35

Can completely understand those wanting to let their family see nee babies / grandchildren.

We have been in a pretty weird situation whereby my Mum went through cancer tests late last year / early this year. Eventual cancer surgery was scheduled for 31st March. No visiting. We got our head around it all. And didn't expect to visit her when she eventually got out of hospital. Except we had to. I had to be her carer. So I have visited her. To change dressings and clean / do her washing etc. Family kept saying "give her a hug from me"
We aren't hugging. We are staying safe.

So there's nothing from me. Because I'm actually just pleased my Mum is still alive and well. As I don't actually miss anyone or anything else. And in the meantime we have lost people we know to Covid.

anonymum95 · 04/05/2020 20:40

Getting my lashes done and seeing all my family. And a proper date night with my fiancé!

ChangeThePassword · 04/05/2020 20:41

Get the dog groomed. She’s a sheep

I bet she looks amazing! I love a shaggy dog.

I'm also really happy that people are coming on here and saying eyebrows and massage and coffee. Things like those are going to be SO important to the small businesses that have had to choose through no fault of their own.

So while it might seem less 'worthy', its really important, because people really are depending on you.

imsooverthisdrama · 04/05/2020 20:43

I'd love to be able to see my mum , and I know dh would love to see his parents .
My dc to be able to go to school or his clubs start up he's Sen .
The shops I'm not too bothered as the queuing but I suppose they May relax the 2 metres to1 metre so may be allowed more in .
I'd be fine with just seeing close family 1 or 2 people and maybe able to drive to a park which I know you can drive for exercise but it's not essential and I worry I may be stopped and fined .
If those things already allowed I'll be happy to carry on for a few more weeks .

YouJustDoYou · 04/05/2020 20:44

That first day - beach. All day. Feast of takeout that evening. Champagne. All night.

Hassled · 04/05/2020 20:47

See the DCs who aren't with me. Hug them, a lot.
Then a nice meal in a nice restaurant. I really miss eating out.

TheCountessatHotelCortez · 04/05/2020 20:59
