There are only so many walking routes nearby and getting bored doing the same ones. Need to find a new plan.

Planning to do lots of gardening tbh.

MrsT1405 · 02/05/2020 07:49

Going for a short walk. I'm in Spain and weve not been out since 13th March, but today we can go out for a walk!! I'm quite unsteady on my feet for various reasons so I won't be going far, but I'm so excited.

BillywigSting · 02/05/2020 07:51

Going to blitz the house with dp.

It's looking a bit like a war zone after a week of homeschooling.

Might do a bit in the garden too if it stays dry

wildthingsinthenight · 02/05/2020 07:52

Putting up pictures around the house and laying bark in the front garden. If the rain stays off! Also cleaning and tidying. Have a zoom coffee with my friend at 1

Bluewater1 · 02/05/2020 07:53

Tidy up the house. Let the kids chill out in front of the TV, no school work today Smile then a walk this afternoon

pissedoffwithprojects · 02/05/2020 07:55

Fitting a new loo seat. Living the dream!!

SpeckledyHen · 02/05/2020 07:55

Lord knows . I’m running out out of ideas of interesting things to do.

ifonly4 · 02/05/2020 07:59

Either a walk up local hill or bike ride. Sorting some paperwork that's been staring at me all week. Phoning Mum and at least one other elderly person we know, reading and chocolate scoffing. Picking DD up from work, been doing that to save her using the bus.

JellyfishandShells · 02/05/2020 08:00

Laundry on, early bike ride before it clouds over, sketching out a composition for a painting later, weeding, preparing stuffed peppers for supper.

Ragwort · 02/05/2020 08:04

The only decision seems to be whether to go for a walk this morning or later .... I prefer to go out on my own and then have th3 house to myself when my DH goes for his walk or bike ride ... but he will often suggest going out ‘together’ ... I am just craving time on my own after all this lockdown.

I might go and go and find a local egg seller that everyone is raving about ....

And some hoovering ....

Are others finding it getting harder to keep in touch with family/friends now? There just seems so little to talk about.

PhilCornwall1 · 02/05/2020 08:07

For us it'll be bed changing a dust and hoover (it's not that bad as downstairs is done every day) and then a quick spin out to the seafront for a walk.

We can't go to our favourite beach bar (obviously!!), so we'll get home and if the weather is nice, recreate that in the garden with plenty of wine and beer. If it's duff weather, we'll do the same in the house.

middleager · 02/05/2020 08:12

Going to the park with the children for a walk.

I have mounting pressure to go via my 76 yr old aunt's house (15 min drive) but I don't want to.

She doesn't believe in lockdown, goes to several big supermarkets a day because she's bored, visits people in their homes, has workmen in to paint and other non essentials and seems to be going out her way to mingle with others and says she won't be kept inside (laughs at how cautious we've been).

She wants me to go over as she insists on giving me some of her "spare food" vegetables on the turn usually.

Even if I chatted from the car on her drive, I know she'll pop her head in my window or think of an excuse to go inside, when I don't want to because she's being quite reckless.

TolstoyAteMyHamster · 02/05/2020 08:15

Reading. Lots of reading. I will go for a run and make bread later, but I plan to stay in bed this morning and do nothing but drink tea and read.

ArabellaPilkington · 02/05/2020 08:18

Today is an exciting day in the garden! Am planting out tomatoes, courgettes, chillis, cosmos and dahlias. Plus sorting a pea area as all my seedlings at bottom of garden have been eaten by meeces Angry

Then will cajole DD and DS into some badminton if it's not too windy.

Usual cooking groundhog - baked twice this week so a bit fed up of kitchen.

Knocksomesense · 02/05/2020 08:20

Today I really have zero plans and I don't like it.
I want to catch up on the washing.
Dh is on conference calls for most of the day and I'll be hanging with the two preschoolers

RedRiverShore · 02/05/2020 08:22

I’ve also got a weekend of planting out, tidying weeding etc, DH is refurbishing his outbuilding as we had the asbestos removed last year so plenty of painting and replacing window frames there for his new mancave

RoscoePColtrane · 02/05/2020 08:26

My house is a tip. The final straw yesterday was seeing 2 dead blue bottles caught in a cobweb behind the tv. So cleaning needs to be done, at least it's tidy. I have paperwork to catch up on as been so busy in actual work have neglected other stuff all week, so that's probably 8-10 hours :( other than that, Once upon a time in Hollywood has just come onto Sky movies, so pizza and film I think.

Inconnu · 02/05/2020 08:27

Would have been watching DS's football team play in the league cup final. Sigh.

Inconnu · 02/05/2020 08:28

Will actually be doing housework, going for a run, cooking beef stew and watching The Hunger Games later on.

dancemom · 02/05/2020 08:32

Going for a run now. Then go for a walk with dd this afternoon (sue me) before a trip to Tesco. Its beautifully sunny today so going to make the most of it.

Tomorrow will be housework and baking and another walk somewhere.

RJnomore1 · 02/05/2020 08:33

Working on a uni assignment, bit of light housework, finishing off my beef casserole for dinner.

Drinks with DH tonight, possibly a film and I’ve taken to texting a different friend I haven’t spoken to in a while each weekend.

Might get some crafting out if I have time

Hurt my leg a bit last week but if it feels ok I’ll crossfit in the garage.

thebear1 · 02/05/2020 08:38

Doing a supermarket shop for elderly parents and will do a walk with dc at some point. No other plans.

imsooverthisdrama · 02/05/2020 08:39

I'm going to have a lazy morning with coffee , reading internet etc .
Later I'll do some cleaning /washing then il go for a walk/ run I'm trying to do 100km this month.
Not exactly exciting but just getting through the days .

unlimiteddilutingjuice · 02/05/2020 08:43

Going to the allotment. We've had a couple of days of rain so fingers crossed the veggies have shot up.

1stMrsF · 02/05/2020 08:45

Should do some cleaning and some cooking but finding motivation quite difficult this week. Will definitely have coffee and read the papers, maybe paint some more of the garden fence, last weekend, having painted the fence both days made me physically tired and therefore slept really well which was a nice feeling. And there's about 6 more days of fence painting work to go!
