How to make the best burger.

I've phoned my son and asked him what he wants for tea . Hes asked me to nske the best burger ever!
He'll leave it up to me what I put on.
For Ds I have fried bacon and an angus steak burger,. I have spent 2 hours slowly carmalising onions and sweet corn.
The finished burger will be
Burger, bacon. Cheese, caramelized onion, and sweetcorn, guacamole, mayo and a touch of bbq.
This is light hearted by the way.
What's your perfect burger and toppings?

Decent steak burger from the butcher. Brioche bun, crispy bacon, Monterey Jack cheese and a slice of Stilton. Lettuce, sliced tomato, gherkins and burger sauce.

Oh, I forgot to add tomatoes thanks for the reminder!.we haven't hot any lettuce in so he can do without!

Make sure you let the meat get to room temp before cooking.

Decent steak burger, brioche bun, smoked bacon, avocado, brie, peanut butter.

Brioche buns are awful. With burgers anyway. Either have fatty meat or cake - not both at once...

I’d want sliced gherkins but I appreciate I’m in a minority...

Decent mince, onions chopped very very small, Oxo cube sprinkled into the mix. After that I just want a decent bun and a bit of ketchup, no fancy toppings.

Decent burger, pulled bourbon pork, Monterey Jack cheese, caramelised onions, burger sauce on a lightly toasted brioche bun.

Skinny fries, topped with caramelised onion, plastic cheese slices & pop under grill till cheese just starting to melt. Top with burger sauce and crumbled up Frazzles.

Decent mince - mixed with a packet of french onion cup-a-soup. Divide and make into burgers with burger cheese inside (cut cheese slice into quarters and pile up)

Toasted brioche bun, ketchup, fried onions, cheddar, pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, burger sauce, bacon and...nachos!!

Oh god I so want that for dinner

I'm a bigfan of a fancy burger, but I've just made the simplest ones ever for DS & me. Decent quality minced steak, very finely chopped onion, salt and pepper and a generous squirt of tomato ketchup to bind it all together. DS had ketchup in his bun, I went for mayonnaise and mustard. Sometimes simple is just the thing.

Steak burger, in a soft white, non-floury bun, topped with crispy bacon, an onion ring, Stilton and Brie (needs popping under the grill to melt this a little) and a splodge of chipotle mayo.

Ooh a local takeaway when I was a teenager used to do a Hawaiian burger - burger topped with plastic cheese, bacon and a grilled pineapple ring with loads of burger relish. It was the food of gods on a Friday night after the pub!

The GBK satay burger is the best. That wide a large side of pickles please.

Our local burger place does one that's made with cheese, topped with cheese and comes with a cheese sauce. There's also one with a bone marrow gravy dip that's to die for.

Best one I ever had was topped with foie gras and served with a valhrona chocolate milkshake.

I'm with those that like it simple. Good mince, not too big...no 6oz patty for me....4oz is good. Ketchup, onion, gerkin, maybe lettuce. Maybe some cheese...but not too strong. And really good crispy chips.on the side. And a fizzy drink....normally diet coke, but dr pepper, root beer, soda water would do too.

Pickled red cabbage on the bottom.

Burger.

Blue cheese.

Fried mushrooms.

Cranberry sauce.

Rocket.

Alternatively, montery Jack, bbq sauce and those crispy salad onions.

Don’t forget to fry the cut surface of the bun in the burger fat/juices while the meat is resting!

Son just home from work and said it looks like the best burger ever. I even got a kiss on top of my head ( that always makes me feel like Mrs. Pepperpot!)
He has bought me a bag of Twirls and a bar of Green and Blacks butterscotch.

We are both happy!

5% fat mince, 1 egg to bind, salt, pepper, cumin, coriander, garlic, smoked paprika and chillis.

Served in white barm with rocket, tomatoes, mature cheddar and onion (spring or red). Plus mayo.

I am STARVING!!

Im vegetarian but these burgers are making my mouth water!!
