What to eat with cheesy mash?

Not had cheesy mash since childhood and have a sudden craving, mum just used to serve it on its own but obviously I feel I need to upgrade it slightly.

sausages and beans

I used to use chopped sausages with beans like the meat in a shepherd's pie and then put the cheesy mashed potato on top, then put it under the grill.

Peppered steak
Fried eggs

Ooh pork chops

Oh I want cheesy mash for tea now but my kids would look at me as if I was mad (I'm from the North West, they are born and raised in Cambridgeshire).
I'd have it with cauliflower.

Butter.

As a teen I used to love cheesy mash in a buttered morning roll.

Fish fingers and beans
Pie and beans
Sausage roll and beans
Cheesy mash mmhhhhh

White bread and butter yum!
