...with hot soapy water after every single wee INCLUDING night wees?

I don’t. DH thinks ‘everyone’ does. But he’s lived with me for the last 11 years so I’m not sure how he knows about ‘everyone’.

No

I manage not to pee all over my fingers 🙄

I don't wash my hands after sex either. Do all
Of you nighttime hand washers?

I shower as soon as I get up.

No one dead in over 50 years of not scrubbing my hands in the night. 🤷🏻‍♀️

BearSoFair · 28/04/2020 10:28

Cold soapy water but yes!

SweetPetrichor · 28/04/2020 10:36

Nope, pees get a quick rinse in cold water. Not done me any harm yet. Anything else gets a soapy wash.

teqcar · 28/04/2020 10:39

I do. Washing my hands after going to the loo is a habit I have been forming since I was about 3 so it's just a natural process.

Only if the sex is with a woman Blush

UncomfortableSilence · 28/04/2020 10:50

Yes of course Confused

A wees a wee day or night and I wash my hands every time I go to the toilet whatever time of day it is, however, it never fails to amaze me how many people don't do this and then wonder one so many bugs go round.

Sparklingbrook · 28/04/2020 10:52

Yes, but I don’t really do night wees. I think you should watch your hands after going to the loo always.

Sparklingbrook · 28/04/2020 10:52

Watch? Wash even.

EatsShootsAndRuns · 28/04/2020 10:54

Yes of course. It's a habit now. Why wouldn't you? Confused

eaglejulesk · 28/04/2020 10:54

No, not at night - ever. And I rarely get sick.

FourEyesGood · 28/04/2020 10:55

I wash with cold soapy water because our hot water takes ages to come through.

eurochick · 28/04/2020 11:02

Soapy water after every toilet visit, yes. Not always hot as it takes ages to come through.

Kalifa · 28/04/2020 11:05

Nope. I don’t wee on my hands.

ScarfLadysBag · 28/04/2020 11:05

No, not night wees. Objective is to get in and out with as little waking up as possible! It's a pee and go situation.

Whenever I've heard anyone else going for a wee in the night I've never heard the tap go either! So I guess I just hang out with other slatterns and that's just fine Grin

ExclamationPerfume · 28/04/2020 11:12

Yes. If you don't you are a minger. Think of all the germs in your bed.

teqcar · 28/04/2020 11:18

'I don't wee on my hands'

There are always people hard of thinking on threads like this. I can't imagine how awkward it must be to have such a lack of basic understanding.

Sparklingbrook · 28/04/2020 11:23

Eww the excuse for not hand washing about not peeing on your hands is always trotted out.
So if you have a poo and don’t poo on your hands then they don’t need washing them either?

IdblowJonSnow · 28/04/2020 11:23

No, not for night as I'm up a lot and would disturb my family. I wash them first thing before going down for breakfast tho.

DaphneFanshaw · 28/04/2020 11:25

I wash my hands after every wee, I don’t bother if it’s been a poo though.

KnobwithaK · 28/04/2020 11:26

Not always hot water (until the whole covid thing, now I've had hot water drummed into me) but always wash with soap, yes.

KnobwithaK · 28/04/2020 11:27

😂😂😂

Betterversionofme · 28/04/2020 11:29

No. Both hot water and soap are very bad for skin of 3 out of 4 people in our house. Cold water, no soap.

Rebootingagain · 28/04/2020 11:29

Not in the night no, we don’t flush at night so as not to wake others so I haven’t touched anything I wouldn’t have touch either just being in bed or having sex anyway.

Urine is sterile. Faeces most definitely is not. I'm up a couple of times a night for a wee. I don't flush the loo nor do I wash my hands, as I haven't touched anything and remain half asleep. On the (vanishingly rare) occasions when I need to poo in the middle of the night, I put the light on, use the loo, then flush the loo and thoroughly wash my hands.

There's a big difference between the two imo.

Sparklingbrook · 28/04/2020 11:33

Urgh. I think every trip to the loo for whatever reason just wash your hands.

bengalcat · 28/04/2020 11:34

Yes
