I just realised my dc went outside today to play at 11.00and didn't come inside (unless for the toilet) until dinner at 6.30!!! 🤣 I love days like that!!

No proper garden here. Small back terrace and small front yard so we do have some outside space and we've been very creative with it.

The outside front yard is an utter sun trap though so we pop in and out. We're already looking rather tanned (even with factor 50!)

lockedinfornow · 25/04/2020 20:36

Er... all day! Lol

randomwans · 25/04/2020 20:37

@cupcakehurricane101 yes today I handed them lunch through the back door as it's a stable door! 🤣 it's like my serving hatch 👍

About three hours, we live in a flat otherwise it would be longer.

Howmanysleepsnow · 25/04/2020 20:44

8 and 12 year old about 2 hours helping me garden.
6 year old wandered out a couple of times. Having a sulky day today and doesn’t want to do anything.
14 year old about 5 minutes.
All 4 refused to walk the dog with me.

Bluewavescrashing · 25/04/2020 20:44

In and out. Our garden isn't huge but we have a trampoline, two rabbits in a big run, some grass and decking with a table and chairs. I sat reading for a while and they brought put board games to play near me which was good as I didn't have to get involved Grin

DominaShantotto · 25/04/2020 20:48

@ItchySeveredFoot where the heck have you got swingball from? Ours has broken and the kids use it loads and I can't find it in stock anywhere!

Whitelisbon · 25/04/2020 20:48

All of mine went out at about 11ish and I dragged 3 of them back in at 6 for tea and a shower.
Oldest 2 are still out there.
The 3 youngest are constantly filthy - they're working together on digging a large hole, but they're happy, and that's all I'm bothered about just now.

jmh740 · 25/04/2020 20:50

Ds 10 spent half an hour helping me in the garden, dd 13 spent about 10 seconds where she came out of her room walked past her dad sitting on the sofa and came in the garden to ask me if she could get a can of pop! I asked her if she wanted to go out for a walk she said maybe tomorrow, when I got back after an hour walking In the local woods she complained I'd gone out without her!

DaisyDando · 25/04/2020 20:52

I too have been searching for swingball unsuccessfully!

StrawberryJam200 · 25/04/2020 20:56

12 and 14 yo, they've been out for about 15 mins today and that's basically more time than they've had outside for a month...

Small steps......

Dowser · 25/04/2020 20:57

We went to a beautiful deserted beach today and there wasn’t one child on it

Poetryinaction · 25/04/2020 20:58

Mine are 6, 4 and 2. They are so lucky to have a big garden and each other. They can ride bikes, dig, go on the trampoline, swings and slide, hide in tents, water plants, look for frogs, kick a football... They tend to go out once dressed/ teeth/ breakfast/ watched tv, and come in mid afternoon. Back out before and after dinner. Probably 4-6 hours a day at the moment.

Asuitablecat · 25/04/2020 21:01

Less time than me😀 ds thinks he's got enough vitamin.d and anyway, the Xbox is indoors. The dc are 2years apart but don't play together. I was totally conned.

lachy · 25/04/2020 21:02

4 yr old DD was in the garden from 11.00 - 5.00.

She loves being outside, so we're making the most of the good weather.

HairyToity · 25/04/2020 21:04

Daughter 2 hours. Son 1 hour.

Eeyoresstickhouse · 25/04/2020 21:04

A 2 hour walk with our 3 year old as we have no garden. Its shit. Its absolute fucking shit not having a garden.

fudgefeet · 25/04/2020 21:07

10 yr old popped to the allotment with her dad and didn’t come back for about 5 hours ( it was empty there so they were alone all day) 12 year old went out for 30min run with me this evening.

neversleepagain · 25/04/2020 21:09

Pretty much the same here, outside from 10am in our garden and our daily walk.

womaninatightspot · 25/04/2020 21:09

5-6 hours, we have swings/ slide set. Badminton (Aldi last year), Ball games with the dog, ate in the garden. Bike rides (long drive also they like to go in circles on the grass) Swinging in hammock. Did the chickens/ ducks. Randomly they spent ages making peg sculptures with clothes pegs. Built a pyramid with old boxes (school project) and painted it. We did lots of baking too cupcakes/ big cake and scones with DC going in and out. Didn't do any cleaning apart from dishwasher so will have to have a blitz tonight

managedmis · 25/04/2020 21:11

Probably about five hours altogether. Mix of biking, eating lunch outside, water play, gardening.

thaegumathteth · 25/04/2020 21:11

About 3ish hours in the garden.

welshweasel · 25/04/2020 21:12

1 and 4 year olds here. We went out to the garden at 10 and came in around 6 for bath time then 4 year old came back out until he went to bed at 7.30. We are lucky to have a big garden. They played nicely most of the day. Took 4 year old on a bike ride whilst husband took 1 year old out for a walk in the buggy. Had a BBQ and drank plenty of gin. Pretty much every weekend day for the past 5 weeks has followed the same pattern!

SnugglySnerd · 25/04/2020 21:13

Most of the day! We went for a walk this morning for about 40 mins and they were outside in the garden from just after lunch until tea time. Brilliant day!

AMomHasNoName · 25/04/2020 21:16

They went out about 10 am came in for a couple of hours here and there . Then I brought them in at 5.30ish. We are lucky to have lots of garden toys and a big enough garden. I also put the tent up a few days ago so they've had alot of fun with that. The best thing I have ever bought was a trampoline. They have hours of fun on it and I've been able to go on it with them and get some exercise :D they are 11,8,5 and 3
