Ds gone AWOL what do I do?

My Dp woke me up at 8 to say Ds 14 had done for a walk with his skateboard at 6 and not come home. He's still not home and his phone is off. We live rurally so not many places he can go. Dp has been driving around but no sign of him. I've phoned one of his friends that I have a number for but no answer. None of his friends live close by and I don't know exactly where they live. He took an overdose a few months ago but seemed to be in a better place lately. He's been having trouble sleeping and he text me at 3am so I don't think he slept last night either. I'm so worried what do I do?

Definitely police that's a long time to be out for a walk.

OhLook · 25/04/2020 10:11

999 without doubt

ellanwood · 25/04/2020 10:11

Call the police and get in touch with as many of his friends as you can to ask where he might be. Alert local community groups and go out looking for him. I hope you find him soon.

crankysaurus · 25/04/2020 10:11

Yep, agreed.

greyprincess · 25/04/2020 10:11

Sorry posted too soon - I also wanted to say that at 14 this wouldn't have been unlike my DS. They need space sometimes.

Lockdownb · 25/04/2020 10:13

Dp had gone back out to look when he gets back I will call the police.

OhLook · 25/04/2020 10:14

Where are you?, roughly

VettiyaIruken · 25/04/2020 10:15

Good decision.
In all probability he is absolutely fine but you need to err on the side of caution given his recent attempt.

WeddingNameChange · 25/04/2020 10:15

Agree phone the police.
Hope everything is ok.

Iwalkinmyclothing · 25/04/2020 10:15

Ds1 is a habitual absconded and services have told me to call 999 every time he goes missing, whether I feel like it's an emergency or not. Please dont feel like it is an overreaction (I often have delayed calling because I feel so stupid).

Hope your next update is to say he is safe and well.

LolaGrace · 25/04/2020 10:16

Please call 999 now. Don't wait for your husband to come home.

ButiLoveHim32 · 25/04/2020 10:16

Get of here and phone the police!

OhLook · 25/04/2020 10:17

I don't think there's any need to wait for your DP

JustStayHome · 25/04/2020 10:17

Hope he comes home very soon

Apolloanddaphne · 25/04/2020 10:19

Definitely call the police. Don't leave it any longer.

Connie222 · 25/04/2020 10:20

Call the police op. I really hope he turns up soon.

Ughmaybenot · 25/04/2020 10:20

Call the police, now. It’s better to be on the safe side.

Witchofzog · 25/04/2020 10:22

Police without a doubt. I hope he comes home soon op. You must be desperately worried

Nixen · 25/04/2020 10:23

999

ssd · 25/04/2020 10:23

Hope he turns up

GreyishDays · 25/04/2020 10:24

Phone the police. Give them the facts and then they can decide what to do. You don’t have to decide how urgent or important it is, let them do that.

ssd · 25/04/2020 10:24

He's probably fell asleep sonewhere
