My phone is kaput but can't get to buy a new one?

My phone and contract is with Sky Mobile. But there doesn't appear to be any way to contact a sales department. Phone won't work, so not sure what to do? I'll be lost without a phone!

assuming you have internet access of some sort, try twitter. That's got me through to several companies where the phone line currently says 'get lost'.

Sky seems to only have a skeleton staff or operations judging on their website options. What the hell do I do without a phone?

Can you just buy a cheap handset from somewhere online for now?

Yes I've internet access on laptop from wifi. I am stupid when it comes to Twitter, but I suppose I could try to be a twit/tweet!!

I suppose I could buy something cheap but it's probably being shipped from China for arrival in 2 years time!!!

Currently also on hold to my bank from DH's phone and waiting time is 1 hour. I think today is not my day. Oh dear.

I think I bought the phone about a year ago. My contract is £12 a month but goes over. It's a Samsung Galaxy A40.

That's half the thing. I can't remember whether I bought the phone outright or whether it was part of the contract! Hence the need to speak to someone who has access to my account!!

So, you could pay £144 to get out of your contract early. Then start a new contract.

I assume you don't have insurance? Your phone may still be under warranty so you may have to keep trying Sky! I was hoping you would have had it over 2yrs and could just restart your contract elsewhere

Try Giffgaff. DH's phone broke on Sunday afternoon, new one was delivered before 11 am on Monday. It's a refurb and they give you the option to pay monthly.

Good luck - it's a massive pain otherwise!
