Is there anyone else on here that likes to smoke weed?

On all the threads I've seen that have mention cannabis it usually made out like the worse thing ever.

I'm a bit of a stoner tbh and just wondered if there is any others out there? I always see threads with people sharing what they drinking so thought I'd give it a go!

Not sure how this will go on here soo 🤞

Oh god I used to enjoy a smoke (along with other vices) but haven’t for well over 10 years now. It gave me a terrible stutter after being a stoner for a while and I just stopped completely as it scared me Shock
And I stopped smoking cigarettes about 4/5 years ago too.

Iamagree · 18/04/2020 20:30

Sorry, my experience has been that "stoners" become at best pretty boring and at worst mentally ill....

RainbowBalloon · 18/04/2020 20:30

I’ve got a whole kilner jar full of coconut based edibles as I got way to used to smoking it every night a few years back.

My dh smokes weed everyday and tbh he’s a lot more tolerable with it during lockdown so the earlier the better!

Slurpy · 18/04/2020 20:30

Hi 😊
Long time stoner here. Currently vaping for lung health and not wanting to go to the shop reasons, but get stoned every night.
Otherwise, perfectly functioning member of society.

RainbowBalloon · 18/04/2020 20:31

If we’re sharing I took a spoonful before our walk this afternoon and it’s delightful!

Lemonnhoney · 18/04/2020 20:32

That doesn't sound great Shock.
I used to wonder if I'll stop smoking it one day.. Especially when I was a teen and thought it was just a teenage thing 😂 but no I think I've learnt more about the strains and different uses now and also feel like a bit of a snob as I only vape it now no mixing with tobacco!

Coconut based edibles sound lovely. I have some bits to turn into edibles. Also made some hash a while back, but put it somewhere 'safe' to dry and can't find it...

RainbowBalloon · 18/04/2020 20:35

If you have some raw coco nut oil you can heat it above 70 on a stove and leave it to set. Then add it to baking but tastes gorgeous on its own too.

Lemonnhoney · 18/04/2020 20:36

Yeaa! Glad to meet you all... The usual comments is stuff like @Iamagree 😂 but you can't please everyone...

@RainbowBalloon my DH smokes every day too.. Again if you usually say that on here you get vilified! But he's a very positive chilled out person and has a good job and is a great father sooo...

The edibles sound nice! We are planning on making some this weekend for a change!

Was a hardcore stoner a few years back. Loved every minute. Had 2 kids in 2 years so laid off it and never went back. Maybe when they're older and I have more time to myself I'll have the odd smoke here and there but can't ever be a full time stoner again. Hubby hates it anyway, throws a strop whenever I have a cig 😭😂

Can anyone agree with me when I say smoking a bit of weed is a much better feeling as opposed to drinking?

RainbowBalloon · 18/04/2020 20:38

My dh is a real workaholic and a stoner (perish the thought of those two combining!) so lockdown furlough has been really hard for him. He can’t chill unless he’s as work or in gardening with a spliff in hand!

Lemonnhoney · 18/04/2020 20:39

@Slurpy the vape changed my life 👌 I couldn't take the tabacco after I stopped whilst I was pregnant.. Its so much more cleaner!

Hopefully you will come across it and it will be a good day!!

I've searched everywhere for a bong that I used to use (haven't for a good few years) but it is nowhere!!

Smoking is keeping me sane through lockdown tbh lol and also it feels a bit more acceptable because you have to stay away from people so no one even knows 😂

@RainbowBalloon we have a pretty isolated allotment so somewhere to keep busy and smoke away happily! Feel lucky for it!

Do you have kids?

I love a bottle glass of wine and smoke every now and then.

I have some cannabis butter in my freezer, no idea what to use it in or make with it.

Slurpy · 18/04/2020 20:43

foreverhungry - oh, its much nicer than drinking! I can't stand the feeling of being drunk, or the aftermath.
DH is a stoner too, and also a perfectly productive worker and a great father.

RainbowBalloon · 18/04/2020 20:43

I’ve got a couple of young boys. The love helping out in the garden too. How about you?

Slurpy · 18/04/2020 20:44

n00b - make some flapjacks with your butter, or spread it on toast!

nearlyfinished1moreyear · 18/04/2020 20:44

My DO likes a smoke.

I gave it up years ago due to giving me intense paranoia and stoped relaxing me and had the complete Opposite effect like I could jump out my top floor window at any time Sad. I have tried in recent years to go back to it but each time I get that same scared feeling.

I don't know if it's anything to do with I used to smoke "hash" and the weed is just too strong Confused

nearlyfinished1moreyear · 18/04/2020 20:45

*DP not DO lol

Lemonnhoney · 18/04/2020 20:45

@foreverhungry2409 it's so much better... Each to their own, if you love a drink go for it.. But the chance of violence, rowdiness, rudeness is greatly diminished with a bit of weed!!

I stopped while pregnant and while my DC were babies but started vaping on an evening.. And ngl sometimes the afternoon 😂 not massive amounts, I don't see it as different to the whole 'wine o clock' and 'gin time' which is heavily marketed to mothers

OP posts:
RainbowBalloon · 18/04/2020 20:46

It’s different in the sense that wine o clock is followed by grumpy/sleepy o clock for me!!

Lemonnhoney · 18/04/2020 20:47

@nearlyfinished1moreyear sorry to hear that. I've had times when I felt anxious and weed hasn't helped! But for me it's definetly the type I'm smoking and my mental state beforehand.

That's why I wish it was legal so we could choose the strain/strength!!

Slurpy · 18/04/2020 20:48

We've had the vaporiser for a long while, but DH was wedded to the spliffs. Thankfully, lockdown has given me the reason to insist we stop tobacco and he's finally embraced it - it was a really expensive vape so I'm very glad. Lungs feel much better, and it's so much more discrete.

Lemonnhoney · 18/04/2020 20:48

@n00bMaster69 spread on toast/ a crumpet is a good shout! Whenever I make something like cookies I always want to eat them all then get too high!!
