I'm sorry if this is an oft repeated thread - my search function isnt working properly!

Despite having been at home for several weeks now, my hands have not recovered from all of the alcohol gel action that I subjected them to when I was still at work.

The backs of my hands feel like sandpaper - is there anything lovely (preferably available on Amazon!) that i can treat myself to? xx

Norwegian formula has been around for years, looks like they offer several different types these days

www.amazon.co.uk/s?ref=nb_sb_ss_i_3_7&crid=351WEZ3ONL8SE&sprefix=Norwegi%2Caps%2C309&k=norwegian+formula+hand+cream&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Also O’Keefes is good stuff

2nd both of those recommendations. I suffer terribly with dry hands and these work wonders.

Dove Dermaspa Cashmere Comfort
It smells so nice, and is really good for dry hands.

The neutrogena visibly renew one is great. Expensive - think it's about £5 something but worth it and really thick. I use a tube a year and use it once a day on way to work.

ArbitraryNameChange · 18/04/2020 21:09

L'Occitane Shea butter, costs £20 but lasts most of the year. Can't be beaten.

fauconberg · 18/04/2020 21:17

A few drops of (olive) oil and pinch of sugar into your palm and massage into hands and wrists. Rinse with water only. Tip from doctor relative.

Aveeno - it’s amazing. The best I’ve used by far

MrsBungle · 18/04/2020 21:29

I bought o’keefe’s working hands and it’s brilliant. My kids, mine and dh’s hands are smooth now from being rough due to the constant washing.

Bioprepper · 18/04/2020 21:29

i second l'occtane shea butter 25%. My hands are dry 24/7 isoloation or not and this is the only cream that keeps them from drying out so much they bleed

norbert23 · 18/04/2020 21:33

Another aveeno fan here!

icelollycraving · 18/04/2020 21:34

My absolute sworn by cream is more like an ointment - it's Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream. It's very concentrated. It's the best one I've found yet.

However if you can't find it, coconut oil works very well. I don't know how easy it is to get that right now however.

Soap and glory hand food cream

missmouse101 · 18/04/2020 21:45

Palmer's cocoa butter is fantastic stuff.

Historyofeverything1 · 18/04/2020 21:47

Aveno is great my dd has been using it as hers got bad when school upped the hand washing.

TARSCOUT · 18/04/2020 21:49

Siabaan does mail order. Small one person business, all hand made her products are amazing. She has also made hand samitiser and is donating one to HCP for each one sold. Highly recommend! I am not her btw, just a customer!

RainbowHash · 18/04/2020 21:51

L’Occitane Shea butter hand cream defo, always!

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 18/04/2020 22:08

Aveeno - not specifically for hands but just about the best thing out there. Use it on my hands, face, feet, my son's eczema, as an after-sun....

SnoozyLou · 18/04/2020 22:09

Definitely Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream. My hands crack otherwise, but I only have to use a tiny bit of that a couple of times a week and they’re much better.

sylbunny · 18/04/2020 22:21

O'Keefes. It's absolutely amazing. Nothing else works as well
