Morrison’s have changed their delivery service to being picked from stores as of today and have asked everyone to go back in and change delivery pass info to auto renew. Nothing else was said to be changing

So I’m sitting here Feeding DS so thought I’ll go in and sort it

They now don’t deliver here anymore!!!!! Confused

I’ve only just purchased a delivery pass 2 months ago which I now can’t use!!!

And on top I was incorrectly charged for my last delivery!

God knows if I’ll ever be able to get hold of them to refund it to me!

I buy from asda. You can get items refunded online. Click on your previous disputed order.

I suspect Morrisons is similar.

Chill. It's not the end of the world. 😊

Pixxie7 · 16/04/2020 04:57

I think they are offering a next day delivery to vulnerable people.

StopMakingATitOfUrselfNPissOff · 16/04/2020 06:26

Honestly I absolutely raved about morrisons home delivery previously - rarely any substitutions, turned up when it should, delivery drivers always friendly but they've totally gone to pot. They keep changing their rules all the time, we had a delivery cancelled because they changed the rules but didn't tell us so we couldn't amend it

Tryingtogetitright · 16/04/2020 06:29

We had our first Morrisons delivery the night before last. Had ordered a massive shop to last a few weeks. Two thirds was "missing" including milk and bread. I was pretty unimpressed.

Willow4987 · 16/04/2020 06:38

We don’t need the deliveries at the moment so I’m not massively worried about that.

It’s more that when things go ‘back to normal’ i now can’t use them

And there doesn’t seem to be a way to get the delivery pass refunded online so I’ll have to ring them which I imagine will be really fun trying to get through at the moment

Also means that we can’t shop there anymore as my local store doesn’t have the infant seat and child carrier trolley which I need specifically with a newborn and toddler.

I was hoping to just use deliveries (until all this pandemic kicked off) for ease really

Sorry just needed to vent

I have a delivery pass with them and have 3x orders booked which are still booked in for home delivery on their website. Slots also available to booo home del.

VivaLeBeaver · 16/04/2020 06:49

Are you very rural or something?

Tableclothing · 16/04/2020 06:52

Is it that when you go in it says "There are no slots available for this address"? That doesn't mean there won't be any in the future, although the phrasing isn't great.

Willow4987 · 16/04/2020 06:56

No, it now says we don’t deliver to you’re postcode...

I’m not rural at all but our local store isn’t massive and now that it’s changed to coming from store instead of a warehouse I assume that’s why they don’t deliver to us anymore

There was no mention of some areas not getting deliveries anymore in the emails they’ve been sending about their new system

OP posts:
Tableclothing · 16/04/2020 06:59

Oh that is bad. Hope you get a refund sorted.

VivaLeBeaver · 16/04/2020 07:00

I didn’t realise they were changing from the warehouse system. I guess maybe some stores don’t have capacity to have people trundling round picking orders? Do your local Tesco (in normal times) deliver?

UhKevin · 16/04/2020 07:13

Why have they changed to stores from warehouses?!

FabulouslyFab · 16/04/2020 07:19

They’ve just started delivering in our area but when I went in to check it out there wasn’t a whole lot available.

vanillandhoney · 16/04/2020 07:21

We've had the opposite - because they now deliver from stores we can now get home delivery for the first time.

I imagine it's because it's easier to pick orders off the shelves in store than from a warehouse that's needing to get huge deliveries out to several shops at once.

frockdestroyer · 16/04/2020 07:34

Are you sure they have stopped delivering to your post code OP? When I put mine in a few weeks back it said something like "we cannot deliver to your post code" but it was only because there were zero slots available for the next few weeks not because they had stopped delivering here.

I have delivery arriving today.

GilmoresForever · 16/04/2020 07:37

I am having the same issue. Now it’s changed to local stores it saying the don’t deliver to me. Very annoying, I don’t understand why they decided to make this change now!

KittenVsBox · 16/04/2020 07:51

Its totally different to what you've asked, but if the baby is pretty small, popping them in a sling, and toddler in the trolley worked well for me shopping with 2 kids and unsuitable trolleys. Better still was leaving them with DH and getting an hour on my own!

When things return to normal, they may well revert to the warehouse model, and delivery be available again.

Willow4987 · 16/04/2020 08:02

I also assumed because it’s easier to pick from stores and I’m not 100% sure the decision to change is because of the virus. The emails weren’t worded that way but who knows

I’ll just have to shop elsewhere or get a different delivery when this all blows over

bookgirl1982 · 16/04/2020 08:14

Is the store delivery not in addition to the existing warehouse system? Stories online seem to refer to deliveries via deliveroo of a short list of essential items.

Willow4987 · 16/04/2020 08:15

No it’s a complete change. They’ve been sending emails saying it was changing as of today

OP posts:
bookgirl1982 · 16/04/2020 08:19

Oh that's not good. I'm a newish customer so may have missed the messages. (Unless it's only some areas)

Willow4987 · 16/04/2020 14:59

So it looks like their website was transitioning to a new one which is why it might not have been working properly

I’ve just had another email with links and it now works Smile

So hopefully this is the case for everyone having issues!

Butterymuffin · 16/04/2020 15:09

How strange - I have a delivery pass with them but haven't received any emails at all!
I do have a store fairly close by so I'm not worried about my deliveries stopping, but I definitely haven't had any standard emails about any changes to the system.

PorpentinaScamander · 16/04/2020 15:16

I haven't had any emails at all! How strange

Willow4987 · 16/04/2020 16:09

Oh really! That’s so strange. I’ve had them for a couple of weeks and there’s been notifications on the Morrison’s website about changing the delivery system
