Having watched some of their other videos, I’m concerned for her.

I just ended up watching another video of theirs at random. He has his arm around her neck. It's supposed to be affectionate, but at best it's possessive, at worst it's sinister.

Really is unpleasant watching him.

Also- her face is always cut in half, he is always central to the camera, even with two people on the screen. Which is a shame as she's incredibly attractive.

That's without even going to the shove.

SharonasCorona · 15/04/2020 17:59

@ceejay nothing shocks me about this place anymore. Internalised misogyny is often displayed on this forum.

PicsInRed · 15/04/2020 18:10

I think the women most in denial here are either in, or a product of, very similar relationships.

They deny to protect their minds from their own reality.

Sparks123 · 15/04/2020 18:18

This gave me shivers. His face was so angry with her yet controlled. Her expression did not change. Red flags all over this

Overseasmom100 · 15/04/2020 18:21

The 2nd clip when his wife was late....Wow...that is extremely worrying behaviour...the anger in is face...
Very, very worrying.

meow1989 · 15/04/2020 18:23

That was quite a grab and pull back, I agree it's his face that's unsettling, eye contact, clenched jaw, just a split second but it's there. My instant reaction to that would be to push back. At best he's just arrogant and thinks he doesnt deserve to be spoken over and at worst it's an abusive relationship.

Not enough to judge their whole relationship on (haven't seen the other clips) but it doesnt paint a pleasant picture does it?

TheWordmeister · 15/04/2020 18:25

Blimey, lighten up.

Some people have jocular banter like this. Just because some posters have been in abusive relationships, it doesn't make them experts able to witness other signs of abuse at all times. Completely daft over-reactions on here.

Howfar12 · 15/04/2020 18:26

His wife has also defended him. I don’t see the point in most of you researching their relationship and looking for signs of abuse. What benefit will that have?

Boredbumhead · 15/04/2020 18:28

He's talking about death a fair bit.

"You are dead to me"
"I could kill you"

It's freaking me the fuck out.

TiddlestheCat · 15/04/2020 18:29

It looks jokey to me. I wouldn't feel comfortable accusing him of being a controlling wife beater based upon those short clips.

FreakStar · 15/04/2020 18:33

'I'm going to kill you' is a common expression, surely. People must live in a parallel universe to me if they think this is in some way usual or only said in abusive relationships.

Howfar12 · 15/04/2020 18:33

His glare looked grime, but it was just a playful elbow.

Bananabixfloof · 15/04/2020 18:35

She would defend him if shes being abused and obviously if not. Her defense of him is not conclusive.
Looking back at the first video, if that had happened to me I would have said something like ouch, and I would have glared at him or got up and walked away. But I'm not in an abusive relationship.
She on the other hand keeps smiling, and she apologises to him!!!
Then her smile dies

ShleeAnKree · 15/04/2020 18:37

Wow. I've only watched that one clip but it is a bit shocking, not so much the elbowing of her, but the way she instantly modifies her behaviour, in a kind of 'whoops sorry' way.

I recognise this from the 7 years I spent with my x toeing the line.

He obviously WEARS THE TROUSERS.

Whether there's abuse or not, he wears all the trousers. You see that on mumsnet a lot, where women don't think they're being abused but they're entire fucking sad life revolves around the convenience of ''D''H and his ego.

ShleeAnKree · 15/04/2020 18:38

Yes, I agree her defending him doesn't mean anything.

If my current boyfriend did that to me, I'd say ''oy, are you talking first then?!?!?!''

But if my xh had done that to me I would have shrunk and shut up. And felt apologetic.

Deadringer · 15/04/2020 18:43

Big whoop

FreakStar · 15/04/2020 18:43

Blimey! I can't see real anger here at all- it's acting angry to me - pretend, playing, faux anger in my eyes. His wife was baking in the kitchen, he's just teasing her for always being late- He's not likely be angry with her for baking, and she admits she's always late with a big smile on her face. Honestly, I think you are looking for something that really isn't there.

ShleeAnKree · 15/04/2020 18:44

That second video, could hardly watch. His anger with her is so apparently.

TheWordmeister · 15/04/2020 18:44

It's a tiny snippet. None of you lot knows him, nor her.

It's beyond ridiculous to say he's an abuser.

His wife has made a statement saying people that are spreading rumours are doing harm and disrespecting them.

The amateur sleuthing should stop - it's tantamount to libel.

I am not even a Buble fan - but some of the statements on here are just outrageous.

ChandlerIsTheBestFriend · 15/04/2020 18:46

He’s not angry with her for baking. (Very clearly!) he’s angry with her for disrupting his broadcast by not being there for the start of it.

ShleeAnKree · 15/04/2020 18:47

@FreakStar I wasn't looking for what wasn't there.

I clicked on the second video wondering if there could be something ambiguous that could be interpreted one of two ways. He clenches his jaw and his fist and is literally contorted with anger! He talks about divorce.

I doubt he'll divorce her though. He's mister nice guy and his fans love him.

Howfar12 · 15/04/2020 18:48

What’s wrong with that @ChandlerIsTheBestFriend

Runkle · 15/04/2020 18:48

He's clearly seething with her in that YouTube video - pursing his lips, pushing his tongue against the inside of his mouth, taking regular sips of his drink to cover his face.. Made me feel very uneasy.

ceejay54321 · 15/04/2020 18:48

These are not rumours though - these are videos made FOR the public - of course the public are going to comment on them - especially when DV is very much in debate with lockdown. How anyone can condone this behaviour completely baffles me. On one hand they are saying stay safe, on the other it’s ‘fine’ to elbow your wife.

His spanish is terrible. He's giving the accent welly so I'll give him some marks for that but he can't even say spanish programmes or she's late without making mistakes!
