Chocolate or sweets?

MIL sent the DC a basket of sweets for Easter. DS is in his element. DD is like me and really doesn't like sweets that much, she would much prefer chocolate eggs. So, sweets or chocolate? 'I would never let processed sugar pass my lips' types may wish to leave this thread Grin

Chocolate every time.

Although sweets for me at the moment as I’m BF my CMPA baby. It’s not the same Sad

WreckTangled · 14/04/2020 15:59

Chocolate. Every time. Sweets make my teeth furry.

BearSoFair · 14/04/2020 16:02

Sweets all the way. I'm not that fussed about chocolate, I have to really be in the mood for it to enjoy it.

Sweets for me. I can take or leave chocolate but love sweets.

Chrisinthemorning · 14/04/2020 16:04

Chocolate definitely

BarbaraofSeville · 14/04/2020 16:12

Sweets, well toffees, eclairs and fudge, categorise as you will.

I have a hirearchy of treaty food things:

Nice biscuits eg shortbread, chocolate digestive, jaffa cakes
Crisps
Cake
Toffees, eclairs
Fudge
Naice chocolates, eg truffles
'Proper' sweets, eg haribos or similar
Bar chocolate, but only the good stuff, none of that Cadbury's shite

I've put too much thought into this, haven't I?

BoswellsBollocks · 14/04/2020 16:14

Chocolate definitely.

I do quite like a tangy sweet occasionally but chocolate is my favourite, followed by biscuits.

MuddyPuddlesAndPrettyBubbles · 14/04/2020 16:15

Just enough thought Barbara.

Sweets make my teeth furry too.

I do love sweets "70s kid " but alas due to all the black jacks , refreshers , fruit salads and toffee my teeth are only fit for chocolate or the odd sucked sweet ☹️ . I so miss a good chewy brazil nut toffee

HappyDinosaur · 14/04/2020 16:21

Chocolate, any and all.

MillicentMartha · 14/04/2020 16:22

Chocolate for me, sweets for my DSes. They’re all over 17 so it’s not like they’re young children. I‘ll maybe pinch one sweet from them, but that’s enough for me.

Sparkle733 · 14/04/2020 16:22

Chocolate definitely!

Pipandmum · 14/04/2020 16:23

Chocolate for me but my daughter hates it. She hates cakes too. Thinking of having her DNA checked.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 14/04/2020 16:24

Chocolate for sure. I like some sweets but prefer chocolate.

DS would pick sweets.

HunterHearstHelmsley · 14/04/2020 16:25

Sweets. Always. Chocolate makes me feel a bit sick.

Snaga · 14/04/2020 16:34

Chocolate for me. Sweets for my husband. Perfect match Grin

Figgygal · 14/04/2020 16:36

Sweets

rookiemere · 14/04/2020 16:37

No interest in sweets. Chocolate all the way.

Mummiepig · 14/04/2020 16:41

Chocolate for me, sweets for 18 yr old DD

Graphista · 14/04/2020 16:42

Very much sweets for me especially since British chocolate has gone SO downhill thanks to American production values and crappy palm oil!

Was always a dark chocolate person anyway, but liked the occasional Cadbury’s caramel until they changed it!

Now I’m all about chewy & fizzy sweets the kind of thing we’d get as little kids.

Dd never liked chocolate she’s always been a Haribo kid.

TerrorWig · 14/04/2020 18:06

I could eat equal amounts of both, but too many sweets give me a migraine.

So, chocolate Grin

FreeKitties · 14/04/2020 18:10

Chocolate for me. Don't mind sweets, especially jelly babies, or haribo but if it was either or then I choose chocolate!

MolotovMocktail · 14/04/2020 18:12

Chocolate. I’ve always hated sweets.

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 14/04/2020 18:14

Chocolate every time! I always find Sweets underwhelming
