Another Radford

Is it me or are the Radfords a bit selfish? Loads of people congratulating them on social media about the new baby. I'm crippled with morning sickness at the moment and I know I'm not giving my dd 100 percent on this homeschooling as a result. How are they all getting homeschooled? How can they possibly attend to all the emotional, mental, physical and educational needs of those children? I caught one episode of their programme that showed her in hospital unable to attend her own son's birthday party because she was having yet another child. I know they say they're self sufficient with the bakery etc but they still use NHS and education resources. Her having that baby at this time is adding to the strain of the NHS. I just don't get how people can congratulate them

Watched the documentary the other night. Does Noel have a look of Gerry Mcann?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 08/04/2020 20:14

@Terriblecustomercervix. I think their names are lovely. Am I missing something.Confused

ChandlerIsTheBestFriend · 08/04/2020 20:25

The Radfords aren't the problem.

The problem is every single person that follows them on Instagram/Facebook.

I think they’re a bit of the problem!!

They only started the tv shows at child 15 so they were already well past the realms of normal before they had any following.

All those children must be missing out on so much. I think the parents are reprehensible.

TerribleCustomerCervix · 08/04/2020 20:46

Awwlookatmybabyspider- it’s not their names, it’s the fact most people agonise for ages trying to find the perfect name for their baby, and she’s had to do it 22 times!

ChicChicChicChiclana · 08/04/2020 20:48

Pmsl at this thread still running but the Jack Monroe threads go in a matter of minutes.

It was more the Millie and Tillie (they rhyme) but PPs made a good point about how hard it is to choose one name, let alone 22!

They do like their -ie endings though.

OkPedro · 08/04/2020 21:00

@FrippEnos
Thanks..I didn’t realise that. I’m not from the uk..

UnagiSalmonSkinRoll · 08/04/2020 21:01

I think there might be a slight part if it that is for publicity. As soon as she is pregnant, all the papers and social media are talking about her and her family, so it must boost them all, as once them kids start getting older and there are no more babies, they not going to be talked about.

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 08/04/2020 21:28

Looking at the dates of birth at the birth of their first child:-

Sue was 14 years and 1 month
Noel was 18 years and 4 months

So counting back 9 months before that:-

Sue was 13 years and 4 months
Noel was 17 years and 7 months

Of course we don’t know how long they had been having sex for when she first got pregnant.

They probably didn’t prosecute as Sue is the victim and so they would do what is best for her. If Noel was helping and supporting her with the baby then it was probably felt that it is better to let him get on with it rather than leave her to raise the baby alone.

LockedInMadness · 09/04/2020 00:08

@bobstersmum yes he does and he's creepy as fuck too

bottleofbeer · 09/04/2020 00:53

To have sex with a 13 year old (or under) is the definition of paedophilia.

They quit the telly as there were a few too many truths coming out (kids saying they wanted them to stop having babies) now it's vlogs edited entirely by them and showing a happy clappy family.

Poppybeaumydarlinggirl · 09/04/2020 01:15

@Peopleshouses ha ha the pun in that

Poppybeaumydarlinggirl · 09/04/2020 01:25

@triedandtestedteacher
Oh really that’s unusual but decent names.

nolongersurprised · 09/04/2020 07:12

I also don't like the snobbery on here about them not valuing reading etc. Not everyone is particularly literate or academic.

And not reading to any of your children will ensure that they will likely also be neither literate nor academic. Shame when you’ve made that choice for 22 of them.

MrsEsss · 09/04/2020 10:22

Hmm, sounds a bit like the law which says rapists can avoid prosecution is they marry their victims. The law has never much cared about female victims of rape and sexual abuse.

tiredtrumpet · 09/04/2020 10:43

Massively missing the point I know but how does he support 24 people with a small pie shop?

LockedInMadness · 09/04/2020 10:46

Because it's a magic pie shop, I though everyone knew that 😉

JonHammIsMyJamm · 09/04/2020 10:52

A pie shop that was closed for a long time (and might still be)

AnonymityIsGreat · 09/04/2020 10:54

It becomes even less convincing that the pie shop supports them as the children grow up and get jobs in the shop. The 18-year-old who's pregnant says she's getting her own flat and taking a year of maternity leave from her bakery job. How many grown adults and their families can one bakery support?! They're not Greggs.

JonHammIsMyJamm · 09/04/2020 10:56

And yet their fans still believe [eyeroll]

Sounsociable · 09/04/2020 11:05

...they must earn less than 50k from the pie shop to still claim CB (which I think they did say they got)
I struggle to work out how that covers birthdays, Christmas, new clothes, school uniforms, multiple iPhones, multiple ps4s, computers, xbox etc, new pram for each baby as well as all the normal household bills. Their food bill alone must be enormous!!

Hippofrog · 09/04/2020 11:09

I wonder how they are coping with the rationing. 3 tins won’t go far.....

SarahTancredi · 09/04/2020 11:11

I dont think they eat that much tbh. Their recipes they post on the website the portions dont really add up

triedandtestedteacher · 09/04/2020 11:42

@Sounsociable perhaps they get money from the tv programme and the hits on YouTube
