Mumsnet haircut

I've reached peak split ends and am planning to cut my hair tonight after work. I've been on YouTube looking for easy tutorials and versions of the mumsnet haircut keep appearing.

So - is it straight forward? Fool proof? Or will I just look straggly?

My hair is too long (bra strap) straight with a few layers round the front. It's so dry at the ends it hurts me to look at it. Washing it everyday after work isn't helping.

Verdicts please! (or links to other tutorials gratefully appreciated)

There’s a thread on style and beauty at the moment you should look up.

Here's my before and after - also used a purple shampoo in between, hence the colour tone change!

You’re welcome!

OMG I’m going to have to watch Brad Mondo with subtitles. He is annoying as hell.
