Where would you go on honeymoon in the UK?

I'm guessing the aviation industry is going to be taking a huge hit with Covid-19 and international travel will take a while to pick back up for most of us whereas hopefully UK travel will be back to normal before the end of the year. We've booked to go on honeymoon later this year but sadly that doesn't look possible. I'm gutted as I was really looking forward to it but it looks highly likely we will have to rethink our plans and find an alternative. Yes I know there are way bigger issues at the moment but still I can't help but feel sad

If you could go anywhere in the UK for your honeymoon, where would you go?

I was coming on to say portmerion.

We honeymooned with DS who as 18 months at the time in Achiltibuie in Scotland in a beautiful cottage looking out over the Summer Isles. July and August can be wet and midgie but May, June and September can be lovely. We went in May and had over 21 degrees Celsius every day and not a midge in sight! We visited the white sand beach at Achmelvich and there wasn't another soul on it! This is a photo of the beach just down the road from where we were staying. Heaven.

The Yorkshire Dales...plenty to explore ,cosy pubs with superb food,lovely villages,stunning views,quiet. Fabulous. Or a fishermans cottage in Whitby ..lovely too.

Gretna Green, my dsis was married there and they decided to stay for the week. She said it's beautiful.

We went to st Ives straight after our wedding and then jamaica 6 months later. Thoroughly recommend st Ives, beautiful with lots of bars and restaurants.
