So, we have Disney Plus. We have so far enjoyed Lady and the Tramp, Inside Out and Elephants - a beautiful documentary style adventure. What do you recommend we watch next? So much choice!

Question - does it have all the toy story shorts in there?

Standrewsschool · 05/04/2020 09:54

The youngest member of our household is 18. Is there enough on it for adults, or is it aimed at children?

Unihorn · 05/04/2020 09:58

There's absolutely enough on there for adults. It has every Disney produced film since the first shorts in the 20s, including things like the Sound Of Music and Adventures in Babysitting as well as every Star Wars and Marvel film, including The Mandalorian which is amazing. It also has the Disney Fairy Tales wedding documents which is well worth a watch for anyone into "reality" type TV.

cliffdiver · 05/04/2020 09:59

@EllaAlright no, Disney Life was decommissioned when Disney Plus became active.

You'll have to wait for an app to become available or use an Amazon Fire Stick to access.

Sirzy · 05/04/2020 10:01

I wasn’t a Disney fan before this but I am loving Disney plus.

I am interested in the history of Disney documentary mentioned I think Ds would love that

bruffin · 05/04/2020 10:02

Stargirl is very sweet.
Dd and I read the book when she was about 11 or 12, and the film has been in the making for a long time.
Only slight problem is what made Stargirl quirky etc is probably a bit more mainstream now

My DC are 22 and 24 and went halves on the pass

icecreamscoops · 05/04/2020 10:04

You can download an app on to your phone and if you have the capability on you tv cast it from your phone to your tv

MrAlyhakinsMassiveYacht · 05/04/2020 10:08

Older Samsung TVs- i think the cut off is 2016 so not ancient- won't be getting the Disney+ app. We've been chrome casting it.

My lot have gone through the Marvel movies, Phineas and Ferb. DH is doing Star Wars.

Pastaforall · 05/04/2020 10:11

We are watching all the marvel movies in the timeline order. Also watched the documentary about guide dog training which is amazing.

EllaAlright · 05/04/2020 10:11

@cliffdiver brilliant! Thank you! I do have a fire stick, just downloaded it.

tabbycat985 · 05/04/2020 10:13

@CupoTeap Yes they have the shorts. They're favourites in this house!

I'm watching a cooking competition called Be Our Chef. It's very cheesy but I'm loving itGrin

EllaAlright · 05/04/2020 10:14

Full disclosure, I’m only downloading this for gummy bears!

Smallinthesmoke · 05/04/2020 10:26

We're also enjoying Cosmos, a science series. So far we have learned about the moons of Saturn, lead poisoning and evolution. Smile
Also love the Pixar shorts, and yesterday we all watched Up and cried. Good idea to watch the Toy Story series, might do that next.

36degrees · 05/04/2020 10:34

I am really enjoying the Day at Disney shorts showing you all the jobs you can do. DD has wanted to be an animator since she was about 6 so I want to show her some of the art, art direction and animator roles. I have serious job envy for the seamstress from It's a Small World.

Unihorn · 05/04/2020 10:39

36degrees have you watched the Imagineering Story too? The first episode especially shows a lot of work behind the animators and Imagineers.

BasilDiffuser · 05/04/2020 12:09

@36degrees Waking Sleeping Beauty is a good documentary about animation. And there’s another one I haven’t watched yet that goes even further back. Frank and Ollie I think it’s called.

Whoareyoudududu · 05/04/2020 12:10

My DC have only enjoyed the Pixar shorts so far. They refuse to watch any of the films because they’ve seen most of them before so it’s ‘boring’. I’ve cancelled the subscription already.

slalomsuki · 05/04/2020 12:13

DS1 who is a late teen is reliving his childhood and watching all the Disney kids programmes again. He is seeing them in a new light and picking up on some of the adult jokes hidden in them. His siblings think he is a bit odd though.

36degrees · 05/04/2020 12:14

@BasilDiffuser oh that's brilliant, thank you. I find Disney+ is great for just discovering things, the interface is about a million times better to navigate than Netflix or Amazon.

ZeldaPrincessOfHyrule · 05/04/2020 12:20

Gravity Falls!

We adore it in our house, we must've watched the whole two seasons five or six times through over the last few years since it ended. I'm so glad it's on Disney Plus, everyone aged about 8+ should watch it, it's brilliant Grin

wombatsandaplant · 05/04/2020 13:28

Disneys fairytale weddings, wowzers. And the imagineering story. And coco, new favourite film. I love Disney plus.

AragonsGirl · 05/04/2020 13:38

Introduced the kids to gummi bears and the rescue rangers. Enjoyed a few of the films, especially the new Wreck it Ralph. Wasn’t too keen on the live action lady and the tramp. My husband and I have been working our way though the Star Wars films

mum2jakie · 05/04/2020 13:43

Movie day today!! Done the week's shop and loaded up with junk - popcorn, Doritos, coke, squirty cream - and we're watching Disney back to back!

Incredibles last night. Ice Age this morning and now enjoying Incredibles 2.

SouthWestmom · 05/04/2020 17:02

The kids are just bingeing on wizards of Waverley place . All i here is the theme tune - male teens, obsessed with it!
