Found a pube growing halfway down my thigh!

I was doing a quick topiary check after my shower today and was distracted by an offending hair that had decided to grow halfway down my thigh Confused wtf. Obviously I plucked the offending hair straight out, briefly contemplated giving the rest of it a trim and decided I'd rather have a cup of tea instead. I'll deal with the knicker beard another day. With 12 weeks of shielding I need to pace myself on the chores list. Is this an age thing, migrating pubes? Do they go south along with other bodily items? Small mercy it wasn't grey I suppose.

I've got one on the outside of my left thigh. I call it my witchy-poo hair Blush

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 03/04/2020 19:16

That was Stanley.

He's here to look after you.

MaidenMotherCrone · 03/04/2020 19:19

Op his friends will be along to keep him company. When they've gathered en masse they start turning grey. Something to look forward to.

TopShelf · 03/04/2020 19:31

They all gradually migrate down your legs until you're pube free.

Ghostlyglow · 03/04/2020 20:27

Yes they do. It's another delight of the menopause...

TerrorWig · 03/04/2020 20:31

Fuck off menopause Grin I’ve had a couple like this since I was in my early 20s!

HermanTheWorm · 03/04/2020 20:55

I've had random hairs pop up all over the place, since I was a teen. And since my first pregnancy, I've had stomach pubes from round the button and down, where you tend to grow some because of the hormones or something, I forget. Well they're nasty proper pubey ones now.

amusedbush · 03/04/2020 20:57

I’ve not found any on my thighs but I have a persistent one that appears on the underside of my chin. I call it my bristle.

I’ve had it make an appearance every few weeks since I was about 17. It’s not there one day, then the next morning it’s an inch long Confused

SistemaAddict · 03/04/2020 21:04

I'm 43, and perimenopausal. It sucks enough without thigh pubes.

OP posts:
Holymolymackerel · 03/04/2020 21:09

I have a few like that that but only the left thigh, noticed it about 18 months ago. Apparently it's the perimenopause!

SharpieInThe · 03/04/2020 21:11

If you suit black cycling shorts I have some good (hairy) news for you.

Skeeter2020 · 03/04/2020 21:14

Could they be socially distancing from each other?

Rewy · 03/04/2020 21:26

Pmsl @ social distancing

MadauntofA · 03/04/2020 21:29

They are in league with the sneaky chin hairs which you don't see until you have half a beard. Get yourself into a yoga legs behind the ears position and you will find millions of them hiding mid thigh, on the back of your legs- frightening what is potentially visible to others and not to youBlush

245Blossom · 03/04/2020 21:31

Apart from the knicker beard which is always a delight , also notice that the minge is thinning - I saw whoopi Goldberg on graham norton saying the same thing too

SistemaAddict · 03/04/2020 21:38

Yes, it's definitely not as luxurious as it used to be. I put that down to regular waxing but I only did that for a couple of years so I guess hormones are to blame for that too.

OP posts:
KenDodd · 03/04/2020 21:43

I've got one on my stomach. I pluck it out sometimes but it just comes back. Pube wins, I lose.

Lilmisskittykat · 03/04/2020 21:54

I get random ones on the back of my thighs... at that point where you have to really grab and strain to get to see them... mortified.

I found the first one sat watching tv one night in shorts.. i expected it to be clear (get a random one on my face that comes from no where) but no big black thick pube like one - with a couple
Of random mates ..... I had been wearing shorts to the gym with no idea they were there - Blush

SuperlativeScrubs · 03/04/2020 21:56

I have the odd stray one towards the top of my thighs up towards my hips as well as the ones migrating down the thighs!

mineofuselessinformation · 03/04/2020 22:08

It's called gravity, OP.
It comes to us all, along with the descending hairline at the back of the neck, and more hairs on our face (for that read beard).
I always like to think that if it was someone who designed the human body, it had to be a man! Grin

concernedforthefuture · 03/04/2020 22:21

I'm 40. Mine seem to be migrating. My foof has a bald patch Blush and random pubes are cropping up on my thighs instead. Hideous.

Justmuddlingalong · 03/04/2020 22:26

I found 2 legs,

growing out of my pubes.

Lindy2 · 03/04/2020 22:43

I have the strange thinning too. There's a weird bald patch in the middle. When I notice it in the bath I do a little comb over with the rest to even things out a bit 😂.

My leg hair is also disappearing which is rather good. It would have been nice if it had done that in my 20s though when I actually cared about having smooth legs.

leghairdontcare · 03/04/2020 22:47

Was it unfeasibly long?

AnneLovesGilbert · 03/04/2020 22:49

You’re just showing off that it wasn’t grey Grin

I don’t have a single grey on my head yet but have 4 persistently bright white pubes that appeared a couple of weeks ago. I’m outraged. Plucked them out twice now, stings like a bastard, and the buggers keep coming back.
