I'm no help. Commenting as following! Our cleaner has made an awesome job of ours tho! 😊

JuniorMumto1 · 03/04/2020 19:07

Viakal! The spray version is good but but pouring bottle is a tad thicker. Just pour it on to drip down and scrub off

BiteyShark · 03/04/2020 19:08

Another vote for Viakal.

noideaatallreally · 03/04/2020 19:08

Shower spray - any make. Then steam cleaner

ListeningQuietly · 03/04/2020 19:08

malt vinegar and kitchen towelling

Vaginandtonic · 03/04/2020 19:09

HG professional limescale remover - you can get it in Tesco. I pour it into a spray bottle and then spray it on, it's very good.

26weeksandcounting · 03/04/2020 19:17

Viakal and cold water!

RandomMess · 03/04/2020 19:17

Lime lite of the black harpic with limes cake remover

msmith501 · 03/04/2020 19:19

We use a dilute vinegar solution and it brings it up really shiny and clean

selfisolatingsince2007 · 03/04/2020 19:19

Only way we found that works is a professional limescale remover, and then to remove the water after every single shower with a shower blade.

GrumpyHoonMain · 03/04/2020 19:20

Karcher window cleaner

WaterIsWide · 03/04/2020 19:22

K-Rock spray is the best I've found so far. Their limescale liquid for descaling the toilet is good too.

I buy mine from B&Q

madmumofteens · 03/04/2020 19:22

I used the pink stuff liquid one last time only £1 and it cleaned really well

usersouthcoast · 03/04/2020 19:23

Another vote for HG professional limescale remover. I have always bought on amazon

NeutralJanet · 03/04/2020 19:24

Cooled black tea in a spray bottle.

Amichelle84 · 03/04/2020 19:27

Another vote for Vikal, I spray on and leave for a bit then scrub off.

Oldraver · 03/04/2020 19:40

Vinegar or a cut lemon works wonders on the screen

Pentium85 · 03/04/2020 19:41

Viakal

And then after EVERY SINGLE SHOWER squegee(?) the water off and spray with 'Method Shower Screen'

ParkheadParadise · 03/04/2020 19:42

Another vote for Viakal.

jenganinja · 03/04/2020 19:49

Oh you lot are brilliant Flowers So far I have been using a shower spray but it hasn't budged the limescale

I have got some viakal in the cupboard but not the spray one. So I just kind of drip some on and then wipe it off with a cloth? is it best to leave it on for a bit?

I do have one of those window cleaner blade things too. Intrigued about the tea!

mssmith501 what type of vinegar and how do you use it?

OP posts:
Pentium85 · 03/04/2020 19:50

Not sure about the non spray one, you can't find an empty bottle you can decant it into?

Either way, definitely leave it to sit for a while.

HildaSnibbs · 03/04/2020 19:58

Another vote for viakal! But you'll hardly ever need it if you scrape the glass down with a squeegee after using, and spray any shiny chrome bits with Method shower spray while they're still wet. Takes about 30 seconds altogether and works really well.

Kelsoooo · 03/04/2020 19:59

Viakil, and then shower spray and Karcher water vacuum after each shower.

borntobequiet · 03/04/2020 20:05

You don’t even need a squeegee. Just dry off with a soft, absorbent cloth after every shower. I use old tea towels.
Also works on tiled surfaces, taps, whatever.

Anjelika · 03/04/2020 20:08

White vinegar - bought a spray bottle of the stuff from Wilko - then dry/buff with one of those glass cleaning cloths. Or use a PVA Micro Cloth. These are a revelation on glass and chrome. You wet it and then wipe the glass all over and the glass dries smear free! No need for buffing.
