So. Now you’re all at home all day together, is there anything you do you’re scared they’ll find out about?

Hmm, not really! I'm in a flat with a shared room terrace (3 other flats share it). I have thought that as the weather warms up, it would be nice for OH and I to have a BBQ up there. Its overlooked, so do wonder if we'd get complaints, although 2 of us that live together isnt really a gathering.

3catsandcounting · 30/03/2020 09:56

Yes. I'm usually home more than the rest of family and have a tendency to talk to myself, about anything and everything. DS has walked in on me several times chatting away; I claimed I was talking to the dog.

Bezalelle · 30/03/2020 10:17

My DH has finally discovered my Lala - the bit of ribbon I fiddle with when I suck my thumb. I'm nearly 40. BlushGrin

Iamblossom · 30/03/2020 10:29

HAHA great thread. My DH should be much more worried than me I think.... Grin

Careylisa · 30/03/2020 10:55

BertrandRussell · 30/03/2020 16:04

Amazed at the lack of guilty secrets!

I spend far too much time playing computer games and often am still in my dressing gown at 3pm apparently these things are bad in a fifty year old very happy woman Grin

goodthanks · 30/03/2020 16:13

I have a serious soreen habit I've been hiding for years

Ragwort · 30/03/2020 16:14

ssd · 30/03/2020 16:15

Christ no I wish I did have a guilty secret, might make life more exciting right now.

TwoZeroTwoZero · 30/03/2020 16:15

The size of my yarn stash Shock

NemophilistRebel · 30/03/2020 16:17

My long bath habit whilst toddler sleeps. He’s nearly 3 but still loves a nap and as DH does bedtime I’m not one to worry too much about a 2 hour + nap Blush

MsMeNz · 30/03/2020 16:17

Everyone thinks I'm the strong one but I riddled with anxiety and it's starting to leak out now. Can't hide it with businesses any more 😔

ExpletiveDelighted · 30/03/2020 16:22

That I watch Doctors on BBC1 while nattering with other devotees on MN.

SanFrancisco49er · 30/03/2020 16:41

Theres nothing my husband wouldn't know anyway but I have discovered my cat might be fat as he now sleeps literally all day. I had hoped he might do exercise while we're normally at work but he gets on the bed at about 10am and that's it til 5 when he gets up for more food.
He is retired now though so I guess it's forgivable...

SanFrancisco you hoped your cat would get some exercise while you were out?

TheMustressMhor · 30/03/2020 16:46

Come on then, Bertrand. Tell us your guilty secrets.

tiredanddangerous · 30/03/2020 16:50

I spend a great deal of my day doing not very much at all. I’m definitely busted.

Zisforstripyoss · 30/03/2020 17:17

Eat "weird" food combinations or stuff like having porridge for lunch.

Doing kettlebells in the front room in the day. I'm doing it upstairs at the moment in secret, because I find it embarrassing for people to watch me.

LotsaDo · 30/03/2020 17:24

Toasted waffles with hot sauce for breakfast...I'm resisting so far.

YellowPrimroses · 30/03/2020 17:33

@Bezalelle I also have a Lala Grin

I discovered dp had a secret. I have been going to work like a slave for years. Long commute, out the house from 630am, home v rarely before 730pm. I always believed dp was working very hard - he got made redundant from his job in 2018 and now he runs a business with 2 other people (making a lot lot less than his salary used to be but we figured it was more stable and better for us all as he would be under his own steam).

Hmm

first week I spent at home, which was the week before the lockdown, I discovered that although dp jumps up out of bed, he does v little. He potters around, goes to the shops, comes back, maybe does 1 or 2 calls. Has some lunch then has a nap. He then puts on dinner. At this point, I normally come back from work. So basically he does about 1 hour's work a day, sleeps during the day for around 3 hours and potters around for the rest Shock.

And I've been wondering why their business doesn't do that well!

Circletime27 · 30/03/2020 18:07

Well it hasn’t been discovered but I’m really missing my naps! I have 2 days off during the week. I blast through any jobs I’ve got to get done then spend the rest of the day in bed with tea and toast and biscuits. I’d bloody love a day to that!

YellowPrimroses · 30/03/2020 19:09

I also discovered Dp, when sat downstairs, just watches shit you tube videos that he streams to our big TV. I mean real and utter shit. Like people reviewing a McDonalds burger, or some shit people reviewing other crap. It's like I never knew this man Hmm

BertrandRussell · 30/03/2020 21:06

Mine is still the guiltiest secret. I’m hoping to draw a few others out before I confess. For the avoidance of doubt it is perfectly legal and harms nobody. Grin
