I'm using the time to find small independent suppliers so I can move my custom away from big supermarkets, we'd started this anyway but are ramping up efforts now.

Spend more time with my Mum.

Apart from things like dd having no school, me losing work, and the whole general sense of unease everywhere, very little has actually changed in my life. I've never been a big shopper and I've never had an active social life because I generally prefer to be alone or with my dd. I can't really see what I will do differently when this ends

HarrietThePi · 29/03/2020 17:49

Yet I'm still feeling really down today.

Octopus37 · 29/03/2020 17:55

Rethink my work. I have done a shift at a Supermarket today and enjoyed it, think however grim this is, it could be a catalyst for change with my work.
Try not to overschedule as much
Be grateful for everything
Maybe not very ethical, but on the other hand it will help businesses get back on their feet, but go to the pub
Really appreciate spending time with friends, I did already but more so.

Like everyone else:
Butchers meat only, my eyes have been opened by the far superior quality over Supermarket meat
Also supporting local farm shop fruit and veg
I wont waste food which I admit I've been guilty of doing
I will/am committing to a much healthier lifestyle. It kind of struck me that it's my civic responsibility not to be a burden now or in the future if I can help it.
Excercise more (se above)
I won't buy stuff, I don't usually but I think Christmas will look different this year.
I will almost certainly need a new job so I need to give that some thought

Never trust an important person who says they have to travel to make capitalist money to trickle down because it's the economic world it's hitting hardest at the moment but it'll be the 'developing world' next.

Oh and Wetherspoons - might save up an extra tenner for a day out and have a treat (probably 4 times a year max) rather than pay for his awful politcs.

Wheresthebeach · 29/03/2020 18:24

Support the local businesses that are delivering meat and veg to us.
Buy a freezer chest
Never go to sports direct or Wetherspoons again

underneaththeash · 29/03/2020 18:49

@tararabumdeay - eh!”? policiteering when JC would have been an utter disaster is going to help absolutely no-one at the moment. We just need to pull together.

tararabumdeay · 29/03/2020 20:06

I said I wasn't going back to Wpns if I could help it underneathheash. That is my prerogative.
