Usually, by now, I'd be finishing getting ready for work so I have time for a Brew before leaving the house. This morning, I'm drinking coffee in the kitchen instead, with the washer going & listening to the radio.

The girls had a late night last night so are still in bed.

I think we're going to get out in the garden & start sorting that out, once they're up and have some breakfast. The grass definitely needs mowing & the ivy at the bottom needs cutting back as far as possible.

Later on it's chicken fajitas for tea & write a shopping list for the week.

What about all of you?

Thank you for this nice normal thread!

Today I'm going to a bit of house work, then relax on the sofa while DP goes for his run. This is my chance to watch the trashy TV without him taking the piss haha

Then going to do some knitting and we'll cool dinner together. Not sure what but maybe a nice stir fry!

1066vegan · 28/03/2020 10:41

I've been working all week so looking forward to getting out in the garden. I'm not going to be too ambitious; just aiming to get the patio area tidied up today.

I quite fancy sitting outside for lunch if it's not too windy.

Sweetaholic · 28/03/2020 10:45

I’m doing a couple of loads of washing and watching tv and catching up on shows stored in planner.

Cameron2012 · 28/03/2020 10:50

Been up since 5 as that is my new waking time.
Watched the end of The Trial of O J Simpson.Had breakfast. Me and DH going for a walk for an hour up the hill that backs onto our house.
Bit of housework, read a book, fishcakes for tea and a bit of telly.
Have a great day everyone

Menopauseandteensdontmix100 · 28/03/2020 10:55

Just had a late leisurely breakfast, done a very quick tidy in the main living area, just going in the shower then hopefully spending a bit of time in the garden (even if we have to wear extra layers), two of us will have a walk in the morning with the dog and two of us will have a walk later with the dog. Netflix and chill.

Whattodo121 · 28/03/2020 10:55

Woke up at 5.30am, went for a 5km walk at 7.30am, came home, tidied up kitchen and made a batch of shortbread and FaceTimed my friend for half an hour. DS and DH have gone on a bike ride and will be back in about half an hour and then we’ll have lunch. Will probably do some piano practice, spend far too much time on my phone and watch some telly this afternoon. Roast dinner for tea and then maybe watch a film altogether. Ds will spend a lot of time playing on his toy cars and on his switch.

lucysmam · 28/03/2020 10:56

@TheBananaInPyjamas I think we all need a dose of normal at the moment :) (or at least, as normal as things can be).

Girls are still not up...I thought they would be by now!

Currently staring at my 11 week old DS with utter incredulity that he managed to sleep through the night for the first time!

Then it's sorting sorting and more sorting - we moved house in May while I was very early pregnant (IVF) and basically couldn't be arsed to organise anything. Hence lots of boxes still unpacked!

DH out in the garden giving our tired garden and chairs a lick of paint to try and revive them.

Then it's a quick walk with the dogs before lasagna for tea tonight and several glasses of wine

Despite the circumstances, have a lovely day everyone!

NothingIsWrong · 28/03/2020 10:59

Been for a run. Need to get started on the devastation that is the house after a week of home education while working..

Boireannachlaidir · 28/03/2020 11:00

Making soup, baking bread, reading, going for a walk, listening to radio. Normal Saturday stuff Smile

Bluewavescrashing · 28/03/2020 11:03

Nagged the DCs to brush their teeth and put the fear of God into them re: no dentists available and toothache is awful!

Showered, put a wash on, hung up outside, put the rabbits out in their tin. Watched them skip about whilst drinking coffee.

Dug out a cake mix box from the cupboard for baking later.

Not sure about rest of the day. DCs are engrossed in Disney Plus but happy so I'm leaving them to it.

ZiggyB · 28/03/2020 11:03

Walking near our house, followed by a bit of gardening and some washing while the weather is sunny.

And later a family ‘get together‘ with parents and siblings on Houseparty app, with wine, snacks and games. Wish we could see them irl but this will do for now. Smile

TwoZeroTwoZero · 28/03/2020 11:07

At the moment I'm laying on the settee whilst my dc are watching Stampy Whateverhisname play Minecraft. In a bit I might go and lay down in the summerhouse. After that I'll go and sit in the dining room for a bit before coming back to the living room. We'll have sandwiches for dinner and something as yet unknown for tea. I'll make endless cups of tea as well.

MoiraRose · 28/03/2020 11:09

For some reason my bedside clock went forward an hour a day early so got up earlier than I intended to!
Just disinfected kitchen benches and all door handles/light switches/remote controls, bit housework, probably bake a pie later as potatoes need using and don't want any waste! If I can be bothered later, I'll cut out a pattern ready to sew tomorrow

Asuitablecat · 28/03/2020 11:14

All on devices. Sat morning is usually kid activities, so out by 930. I'm not even dressed today.

Later will be a brief run with the kids (bloody cold out there) and more device time. Cleaning needs doing and I might do some work.

Natsku · 28/03/2020 11:27

I had a lie in this morning while OH got up with DS (and DD slept until I got up anyway), we found out our boiler broke (well it's leaking) so yay...

Now having a cup of tea while DS naps and OH and DD watch a Harry Potter film. No idea what we'll do the rest of the day apart from not use hot water sigh glad I showered last night!

LittleAtlas · 28/03/2020 11:28

Started the day cleaning baby bottles and changing the bedding. Now lying on the bed while 20 week DS has a nap. Took him a while to sleep so enjoying the peace. Maybe go for a walk later although it's pretty cold and grey here. Definatly a couple of glasses of wine tonight. Have a nice day everyone :)

daisypond · 28/03/2020 11:30

Will be working. Essential worker shift job, but can work from home.

HasaDigaEebowai · 28/03/2020 11:32

Planting edibles.

VioletCharlotte · 28/03/2020 11:36

Not all that different from a normal Saturday really. I did yoga as usual (in the lounge rather than the gym). Had my breakfast and messed about on my phone for a bit. Put some washing on and I'm about to start cleaning the house.

This afternoon I'll take the dog for a walk, come home and cook dinner, catch up on TV.

wendz86 · 28/03/2020 11:52

Youngest had online ballet class . Then I did a bit of cleaning upstairs . Lunch soon then eldest has her online ballet class . Might do a bit more cleaning and watch a film with kids this evening .

missmeg3leg · 28/03/2020 11:58

finally had a decent-ish night sleep last night 👍 (frontline NHS) making the most of a weekend off....up @8, all windows open for fresh air, 3 lots of washing done & unblocked drain outside kitchen door 😂 off for a walk later....will escape cats whinging about not having their 1st choice food in!

underneaththeash · 28/03/2020 11:58

Cleaned kitchen and study. DH and I went for a bike ride and now I’m waiting in the social distancing queue for the butcher. We’re going to have a game and a film later this afternoon.

Pascha · 28/03/2020 12:04

We're finishing a jigsaw. DH has been out for meat and veg and milk from the local farm and now he's drilling holes to fit the basketball hoop which has been jn the loft since last year.

hannabarbera · 28/03/2020 12:05
