Would love some company, periodic insomnia here. Haven't slept a wink and alarm will be going off in about 90 mins, sooo frustrated!

Hey, yes, I am 7 hours into a 12 hour nightshift!

Zena1973 · 21/03/2020 03:58

I'm awake, stress and worry keeling me up. Difficult times right now.
You must be shattered with no sleep!

Nomorewine77 · 21/03/2020 03:58

What do you do if you don't mind me asking?

I’m here got woken up about 2am by some dickheads outside and haven’t been able to sleep since. Balls. Will be woken up early by DD as well.

AnnieS2511 · 21/03/2020 04:00

I'm up with the baby who has decided that 4 am is optimal play time...for five days in a row now... yay for not sleeping Confused

Nomorewine77 · 21/03/2020 04:01

I'm here! On the sofa with my hot water bottle whilst everyone else sleeps. Having a teary moment alone before my default daytime confident and coping mode. Brew for us all.

SippingTea · 21/03/2020 04:02

Another one here. Wide awake. Everything that’s happened this week has just hit me.

ToftheB · 21/03/2020 04:02

Hello. Up with my 2yo, after finally getting the baby back to sleep (for now). They've got miserable colds, especially the little one, which always makes sleeping tricky.

If you don't think you're going to get to sleep can you treat yourself to a bath and a nice cup of tea instead? Sometimes trying and failing to sleep is more upsetting than just accepting and making the best of it.

Nomorewine77 · 21/03/2020 04:05

Annie, I remember those days! Now is teenagers stomping around at god knows what time. DS 15 who has ASD has just gotten up for the umpteenth time to throughly was his hands by the sound of it!

@missmouse101 I can empathise, I've got a 16 tear old who's gcse where cancelled and an 11 year old who left his primary school with 2 days notice, really hit them both hard this week and I'm 2 weeks into a new dream job that in all probability will be no more in a few weeks as services are veung cut everyehere. Looking online rightnow for ANY job as single parent. Can't believe how much has changed in 2 short weeks.

effingterrified · 21/03/2020 04:09

Yes, up as usual at 3.30 am for a couple of hours - joys of the menopause.

effingterrified · 21/03/2020 04:11

My dh currently has the symptoms, so very scared.

Nomorewine77 · 21/03/2020 04:13

The world feels unreal, surreal whatever like we are in a mild version of an episode of stranger things!

AnnieS2511 · 21/03/2020 04:13

@Nomorewine77 oh dear! That sounds tough!! How is he handling the whole corona virus scare? He must be terrified.... Luckily DD is only 6 months old so she is just enjoying have mom and dad home full time at the moment... ignorance is bliss

Zena1973 · 21/03/2020 04:13

I'm sorry to hear that @effingterrified. Really is worrying 😕

LOLeater · 21/03/2020 04:14

Hello all, wrapped in a blanket on the sofa whilst family sleep and my mind is whizzing.

Zena1973 · 21/03/2020 04:15

@Nomorewine77 that's exactly how it feels. I'm not coping very well on the inside 😔 and it's only just starting.

Greenkit · 21/03/2020 04:16

3 hours to go of my nightshift....

Shattered

Zena1973 · 21/03/2020 04:18

@Greenkit I reckon night shift work is the best shift pattern to have right now.

Greenkit · 21/03/2020 04:19

I work 2 early, 2 late and 2 nights....

drippingwet · 21/03/2020 04:20

I’m up with indigestion. Again

Nomorewine77 · 21/03/2020 04:20

@AnnieS2511 likes the fact he doesn't have to go to school, but is utterly bewildered by some of the stuff on social media, have had to police his ipad a bit. Facts reassure him so he's ( hopefully not right now ) working his way through New Scientist magazine!
