Is anyone up for another game of Mornington Crescent?

I don’t know if we need to apply the rule relating to bilateral diagonal moves or not in the present circumstances...

I do want to say - in honour of the stay home advice and the scarcity of wee room paper - in respect of

AwrightDoreenTakeAFuckinDayOff · 24/03/2020 15:08

Aaaagh.

All things tube.

TOILET ROLL.

I concede it isn’t really a station but it is a tube. Lockdown rules and idiocy sanctions apply.

But Moorgate still applies really.

As you were. Dons scarf, wields hanky and waves freshly washed hands.

As you were.

Flopjustwantscoffee · 24/03/2020 16:37

No need to flaunt your wealth Doreen. I’m going to play it safe (and respect distancing rules ) by heading out to Chadwell Heath. I assume we can only have 2 players per bilateral quadrohedron now? That’s going to complicate matters...

Black Friars to reflect the general mood

AwrightDoreenTakeAFuckinDayOff · 24/03/2020 23:55

Going for the ménage a trois ad I can’t manage to find enough people to manage to say quadrohedron let alone play bilaterally in a pincer movement.

Fairlop. Gotta be. I’m out of zone but I got a bit squiff on dettol fumes and went a bit further than I intended.

snowy0wl · 25/03/2020 12:13

Due to the reduced train service we've been out on the edge of the map for a while. I will play the "Fourth Wednesday of the month" rule and head to Ruislip.

LefttoherownDevizes · 25/03/2020 13:16

Due to DH and I spending far too much time together I'm invoking the Burton-Taylor exemption and holing myself away over in Northwood Hills

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 25/03/2020 14:34

There’s method in the old boy’s madness though, because from Swiss Cottage tis but a hop, skip and a pas de deux to hole out in splendid isolation at Heathrow Terminal 4. Oh and the young master plays croquet for the other team. You all remember the problems he had during the 98 championships. We never realised you could get so many dancers into a stateroom on the QE2. When their embassy found out there was hell on.

HeronLanyon · 25/03/2020 16:00

seven sisters only possible way to have group of more than 2 if they are from same household. They tell me they do all still live at home although they are getting grief from passers by.
Thought we might all like to see numbers out and about legally.

Flopjustwantscoffee · 25/03/2020 21:45

Seven Kings on the other hand is definately out. Pity that would have been my next move. I’m going to go for.... upminster bridge

Does the 1984 Olympic equalisation rule apply on Thursdays? If so I'll play Dollis Hill. If not it'll have to be Oval.

snowy0wl · 26/03/2020 10:43

I think so, but Pauline seems to be most knowledgeable about the current rules? I've just heard that there has been a fresh delivery of eggs and flour at Balham and so let's head over there.

PaulinePetrovaPosey · 26/03/2020 15:00

Dollis Hill works 👍

HeronLanyon · 26/03/2020 18:18

Dollis Hill was an inspired move then the dash to Balham - following the flour supply rule (rarely invoked) was truly wonderful to see. Made these old Mornington Crescent eyes quite misty.

I’m going to humbly suggest green park - but no gatherings obvs.

snowy0wl · 27/03/2020 16:26

Alas, the police have moved us on to Chalk Farm.

elephantoverthehill · 27/03/2020 18:02

Well I am going to strike out and do diagonal reverse to Goldhawk Road.

LefttoherownDevizes · 27/03/2020 18:41

Seeing as outdoor markets are still allowed then we best beetle over to Bermondsey

Flopjustwantscoffee · 27/03/2020 22:39

Bermondsey to canning town seems logical. Useful to for those looking for store cupboard essentials

Will0wtree · 27/03/2020 22:52

Can I swoop in and play a cheeky Theydon Bois. Know it normally isn't the done thing, but given the crisis and all...

Flopjustwantscoffee · 29/03/2020 09:39

Oh but flop, posting without a station automatically puts you in Nid! If you back out slowly no one else may see? It’s quite quiet around the MC board today. I guess everyone is having a nice lie down after all the Joe Wicks.

But Pimlico seems like an easy first day of spring type move.

elephantoverthehill · 29/03/2020 22:22

I lost a point on an online quiz tonight for not knowing Mornington Crescent is on the Northern line, so creeping ever closer I am going to Pimlico.

Flopjustwantscoffee · 30/03/2020 09:20

If a hippo and an elephant are both at pimlico is there space for them to remain the required 2 meter space apart? I would suggest not... any way to avoid further risk of nid I’m going to say (in honor of the zoological theme the 2 of you seem to have gone with) Camden town...

OP posts:
OneHippoOnThePhone · 30/03/2020 11:11

I’m a hippo on the phone, just the one, so social distancing. You’re getting a bit too close for comfort though with Camden Town but of course I can always move south to

Elephant and Castle

snowy0wl · 30/03/2020 22:39

Honestly, so many wild animals on the loose! Let's take them back to London Zoo. Regent's Park
