I am going to take the dogs for a walk near a bird sanctuary (dogs allowed if on leads).

I am going to try and persuade the Dcs to come with me, but they saw me getting into my dog walking kit and quickly said they were exhausted and went back to bed.

Might make meatloaf for dinner after watching this on Diners Drives Ins and Dives just now.

Then we have homework and getting a start on the week ahead for work in front of us.

Preparing a presentation for a job im applying for, then going for a drive to figure out how to get there and where to park, ready for the interview tomorrow.
Will do a few washes and make some kind of meal for everyone later.

MinnieMountain · 15/03/2020 09:00

Violetroselily where is your lido? Our local one doesn't open until May.

We're going swimming, then having afternoon tea.

FromTheAllotment · 15/03/2020 09:14

DH is out this morning. I’ll be trying to get on top of the housework while occasionally sorting out the DCs’ squabbles. Miserable weather here so I don’t think we’ll be doing much.

Penny31 · 15/03/2020 09:28

Still in pjs, need to do washing and cleaning. Might venture out with kids for some fresh air later but it’s really windy.

Don’t feel like doing much today.

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 15/03/2020 09:28

I'll put seeds in to pre-grow (is that the word?) inside, do the ironing, do some revision on my language courses, prepare my laptop to be fixed for working from home, if necessary.

The botanical gardens and zoos remain open (open spaces only all houses closed), so we could go there, too, but perhaps not today.

Bluewavescrashing · 15/03/2020 09:31

Lie in, DH is making cooked breakfast, kids are on consoles.

Famiiy coming round for lunch later which I'll cook with a glass of fizz.

DH is laying decking in the garden (with no previous experience but seems to be doing well!)

OtherVoicesOtherRooms · 15/03/2020 09:34

Going out in the rain. Small town near here. We need fresh air!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/03/2020 09:35

Have been for a quick dog walk in the rain. Getting the train to town later to return said dog to his owners. Will probably have brunch in town, then nip to a shop in the way back in the hope of getting some bread, milk, fruit and vege. We haven't got much food in the house and Sainsbury's have no delivery slots all week. No car, so looks like we'll have to have a few tri ps to the shop this week, annoyingly.

CherryPavlova · 15/03/2020 10:52

Excellent reading. I hadn’t thought about gardening. I may add that to my list of things I can do. Nicer than a zumba dvd.

GreenMagnolias · 15/03/2020 10:56

Cherry we are heading to B&Q today to get paint for DC1's bedroom. he said that he wants to paint his bedroom yellow if we all have to stay at home. I thought that was a pretty good idea!

I thought I might learn how to embroider.

CherryPavlova · 15/03/2020 11:01

Sounds good. I’m not sure we’re at redecorating stage yet.

DinosApple · 15/03/2020 11:06

I'm self isolating and browsing IKEA for ideas when I feel better.
DH is doing the garden and the DC are watching DVDs. They'll have to do their homework later. Would usually visit MIL but have canned that for now.

GreenMagnolias · 15/03/2020 11:07

(Nor us to be fair!!). I epxect DS1 will get bored and we will have half unpainted patches.

Clean house, Laundry not as much housework as I should
Mow the lawn
Admire the frog spawn newly appeared in the pond :)
"Life Admin"
List some stuff on Ebay. I hope the post offices & corner shops stay open
Go for a run & swim before the leisure centre closes

HaddawayAndShite · 15/03/2020 11:20

Braved our local Lidl. Wasn’t too bad. Lots of people shopping with their elderly relatives which is nice to see them being looked after. No pasta or noodles but we managed our usual shop fine.
Home and had marmite crumpets and a coffee not watched the end of the wrestling.
DP is having a shed day so I’m going to have a craft day. Making name cards for our (hopefully) upcoming wedding and sorting other decor.

Dowser · 15/03/2020 11:26

Our last day of freedom before tomorrow’s lockdown.
So beach, late lunch, long stroll past beach on way back drinking in the beautiful sunset
Will be joining you tomorrow seventyone, though not in italy

CormoranStrike · 15/03/2020 11:28

Dog walk done, housework and then sewing I hope

FudgeBrownie2019 · 15/03/2020 11:28

Took youngest DS to the field to play football with his mate as their football games are all off for the foreseeable, took the dogs too who loved it as the whole place was empty.

Off to our local for a carvery in a while with friends. Ironing needs doing ready for school tomorrow, too.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 15/03/2020 11:29

Currently hiding every single C thread that appears in active.

Later, quiet day, reading, telly, leftovers

MrsPear · 15/03/2020 11:30

Got up at at 8 and herded ds1 and h out to football. Then housework and put a wash on. Now in the car to Bil and wife with a little pressie to say congratulations - she is 14 weeks with their first after many years. Then ds1 wants blueberry muffins in his lunch box next so need to pick up blueberries to make later. Oh and sil has asked if we want to visit too so maybe we will after bil and supermarket.

vingt · 15/03/2020 11:31

I just did the weekly shop where I overheard somebody who absolutely has to be a fellow MNer

"They don't have any toilet paper but it's OK, I got the Fail for our free newspaper so we can use that"

Grin
Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 15/03/2020 11:33

Go for a run at the beach with the dog. Pick up a pram, maybe make a roast.
Was trying to persuade the kids to come to a park with me or something, but they are refusing. DP is sleeping after his night shift but he has things to move for people today.

longhaulstress · 15/03/2020 11:40

Finishing off decorating one of the dc's bedroom and had parents round to help too which was very great fully received.
Minding nephew this afternoon then taking dd1'to her sport this evening.
Washing uniforms, homework and watching the rest of a film after dinner.
Poss a friend coming round for a catch up later on.

AuntieMarys · 15/03/2020 11:41

Going for a 7 mile walk to get away from doom and gloom.

Tartyflette · 15/03/2020 11:57

I have a heavy cold and cough, but no fever, so i will continue to stay at home, probably all next week too. I'm not too bad but i neither want to pass anything on to other people and nor do I want to pick up anything worse.

DH is pottering in the garden and i will probably spend a lot of time on Mumsnet where i'm hoping for a few juicy CF or parking threads to lighten the wall-to-wall corona virus ones.
Disclaimer -- of course I am fully aware of the seriousness of the situation and that many people are desperately worried about their health and that of their families in the near future. I am too. But sometimes having some distraction is welcome.
